    the original plan was to get a G1 970 and then a pb278q down the line... Also thinking that I can sell me 770 and than get a Qnix

    Use the dvi connection with the 1080p monitor DVI TO DVI. Then connect the 1440p monitor to displayport   DISPLAYPORT TO DISPLAYPORT. This is what shadow is trying to say.

    You can only run 1 monitor with a DisplayPort connection with that card.  DisplayPort adapters do not work both ways, you cannot use an adapter to plug your graphics card's DVI or HDMI ports into a monitor's DisplayPort.  You can only use adapters from your graphics card's DisplayPort to output to a DVI/HDMI monitor.
     
    Use a straight DisplayPort cable for the 1440p monitor, and straight DVI cables for the 1080p monitors.  No adapters or X to Y cables needed.

    Hi, I love PC hardware, building computers and knowing about all the different parts and such but I am having trouble figuring out how I can take my knowledge and find a job I'll love. Is there a job out there that is like Luke's where he builds a computers and such. Looking around there are so many different jobs for so many different areas of computers. Any help is nice
