HyperX Fury DDR3 4 x 8GB 1866Mhz only runs at 1333mhz
NJDFisher replied to NJDFisher's topic in Troubleshooting
Silly me, I stopped OCing my CPU as I need a new cooler, but didn't update my sig. I'm not changing the memory, the reason I got 32GB was for productivity - It's essential for After Effects and music production, and I'm already loving the performance boost. I am worried about the speed a little in some games however. I guess I might just have to live with it. -

I looked at the 3 PDF documents with explicit RAM support and mine isn't there. I'm incredulous. -

Nah, full with 4 x 8GB 1866Mhz, bought as a single package, all the same brand make model etc. -
Just got this memory as the cheapest upgrade to 32GB I could find, only to find it didn't "auto" to 1866mhz. On further inspection, there is no XMP profile for it. Motherboard: Asus Maximus Hero VI. BIOS version: 2.10.1208. Setting it manually to 1866mhz doesn't help. It is just ignored. I checked the timings, they are at 10-11-10 as required. I'm hoping a BIOS flash fixes it? Any other ideas? I've seen these issues cropping up a lot, hope someone can resolve. Thanks.

Tell me all you know about PC parts, brands, PC related stuff
NJDFisher replied to Tokui's topic in General Discussion
You should probably ask Google this. It will likely result in a much better attempt at giving you everything it knows about "pc related stuff" a hell of a lot quicker. -
If you genuinely believe your design is noteworthy, don't go giving it to someone else. They can and will steal it. You have to be willing to put in time and money (either your own or investors' you can convince) into refining it and making it a reality. It's a lot of work, but if you think it is worth it it's the only way. Only time I think it would be beneficial to tell a manufacturer is if you work for them in a related field anyhow, might get you a promotion or something. Although if you don't care about benefiting from it, you could throw a refined idea at as many manufacturers as possible and maybe they'll look at it/steal it/be inspired by it. Don't forget it's their entire purpose to do what they do, so they are probably doubtful an industry outsider has anything revolutionary/feasible. But seriously... Crowdfunding is a thing designed to make this kind of process easier.

Yes I have, thanks for the info and that's a good point reading it later, it would be bad if I sent it without officially obtaining an RMA. I should've specified.

I have visited the link you provided both before posting the question and after receiving your reply, and the "Shipping Guidelines" link, which doesn't actually yield information about how it should be shipped. However, according to other members the FAQ does, and also once I submit the RMA I will get shipping information. Thanks though.

In that case I apologise, I must have overlooked it. I have been troubleshooting my PC issues for 6 days now, and apart from being without a vital tool for most of my daily operations, I have been getting very tired of reading troubleshooting documentation. Nevertheless, thanks for the help.

Hi guys, My GPU gave out suddenly, and so I have started the RMA process. However, I haven't found any information on EVGA's website telling me how the GPU needs to be returned. Does it need to be in the original packaging, complete with all accessories and documents? What shipping packaging does it require? I do have these (at least most of them), and obviously don't want my RMA being rejected. Thanks, NJDFisher
