  1. Budget (including currency): $1500AUD Country: Australia Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Premiere pro daily use Current Specs: CPU - Ryzen 9 3900X GPU - Nvidia gtx 1070 ti RAM - Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4 64GB 3600MHz C18 MOBO - Gigabyte B550-I Aorus Pro AX SSD - Crucial 1tb m.2 NVME SSD + 2tb 2.5" SSD PSU - Cooler Master V750 SFX Hi everyone hope you are all having a wonderful day! to get straight to the point i'm looking at upgrading my current "gaming turned editing" computer to something that is able to export Premiere pro videos a bit quicker. I mostly edit and render a bunch of 720/1080p videos in one go on media encoder and want to speed up the rendering process, on occasion I will also be editing 4k films as well. The only issue i'm having is that I don't really know what to upgrade because when I go into task manager to see what is bottlenecking, nothing is getting close to 100%. The highest one is my gpu but that normally hovers around 60/70% so i'm not sure if its the right move to upgrade it first without double checking with people. I hope this is enough information and if not, am happy to answer any other questions. All the best and thank you all so much!
  2. Wow yo thank you so much, even got a diagram and everything holy moly. thanks a bunch for helping me with this, your awesome my guy
  3. Hey guys how’s it going, I need a little help with installing something into my computer. Im trying to get optical SPDIF output in my computer and am looking at getting one of these, https://www.amazon.com/HXH-Optical-Bracket-Gigabyte-Motherboard/dp/B0874WZY4G/ref=sr_1_1?dchild=1&keywords=SPDIF+optical+and+RCA+out+plate+cable+bracket&qid=1588689998&sr=8-1. The thing I’m concerned about is that the bracket card thing has 3 cables that need to go into the motherboard - GND, SPDIF and +5v but my motherboard seems to only have GND and SPDIF in the designated SPDIF slot. Also Im using the Gigabyte h110m-h motherboard for refrence. I’m wondering if it will work or if its just not compatible. Thanks so much for your help peeps and sorry if I didn't really explain it well
  4. Hey hows it going guys, im currently streaming with a 1070ti, 16gb ram and an i7 7700 setup; I tend to game normally at 1440p getting around 100 - 120 fps however obviously when i stream that fps goes down and sometimes I get a bit of stutter. My question is if its possible to install a 1050 ti and use that soely for encoding my stream to take that load off my 1070 ti and if it will actually benefit in any way. Thank you guys for the help in advance, I really appreceate it
  5. Yo wuddup. Im about to start a custom watercooling build and want to know what the best configuration for my 2 radiators should be in regarding in what order the liquid flows in. Would it be best to run the pipes going, 1st radiator -> 2nd radiator -> cpu block -> gpu block -> pump/resevoir then back into 1st radiator. Or should I do 1st radiator -> cpu block ->2nd radiator -> gpu block. Sorry if its too confusing, but would it matter how I run the pipes or should I be fine whatever way I do it, Thanks.
  6. Hey all, does anyone know of the best screwdriver for computer building? Hoping to get one with magnetic tips, ratcheting and swappable tips but just cant find one with all three. Does anyone know if one of those exists. Or also what is the best screwdriver in your opinion. cheers in advance
  7. Hey all, im about to pick up the DeepCool Captain 240EX and want to know if its worth replacing the stock thermal paste applied to the heat sink with some Noctua NT-H1 instead. Thanks lads
  8. Hey guys, im looking for a gaming laptop under $2300 Australian. All that im looking for in it is good battery life, not overly thick and a modern graphics card (1050, 1060). Will be used for playing overwatch predominately. thanks for the help, appreciate it.
  9. Im buying a new power supply and am looking at getting an Antec VP500P and just need to know if the 8 pin EPS 12V connector that goes into the motherboard can be split into 2 x 4 pins. Cheers
  10. hey there, really quick question. I'm about to get an intel core i5 6400 and just want to know if it comes with thermal paste or if i will have to get some individually, thanks
  11. I just went from a macbook pro to an xps 13 and am loving windows 10. Apple had a laptop tracking thing on icloud and you could see the location when it connects to a wifi service. What i want to know is there a tracking service i can get so i can see the location of it on my phone or another device, thanks.
  12. So i just bought a new dell xps 13 i7256gb touch screen laptop and i noticed that the heat got to a really high temperature (got a warning from microsoft notifications saying it hit over 92 degrees celcius) and what i want to know is can i put in a setting somewhere to add the maximum temperature the laptop hits before it throttles. Thanks.
  13. So I'm running a radeon 4850 with 2 dvi connectors and i just bought a $10 computer monitor from gumtree (australia's craigslist) and it only has a vga cord inbuilt. When i try to use an adapter from dvi-i to vga i get no signal so what i want to know is am i able to buy a crappy graphics card with a vga connector and use that to connect to the monitor but still use the 4850 for all my applications. Thanks in advance
