  1. If you play any movement based games like cs go and cod, I would recommend going for at least 120 to 144hz, even if it means sacraficing res to drop the price or paying more depending on your situation. http://www.blurbusters.com/faq/120hz-monitors/
  2. I read online Tom's hardware got the 5960x to 3.8ghz on the same motherboard, so honestly I'm confident I can overclock the 6950x just as much. Worst case I try it and return the mobo in box with a 10% restocking fee
  3. ok guess I'll be returning the sfx psu and itx mobo LOL
  4. Do you guys think I won't be able to OC with the itx mobo?
  5. really? What would you recommend? in the broadwell-e line?
  6. Alright guys, so I finished my dual pc build log, but I have a bunch of spare parts from those pcs. The spare parts include 32 GB of 2133 mhz viper ram, a GTX 980, a 840 evo 1 TB ssd from an old macbook of mine I sold, and a corsair 250D. I decided to go overboard and order a 1080 for my origin. I currently have 3(4 counting the dual pc's separately) pc's , so I decided why not build yet another pc with these leftover parts instead of letting them go to waste? Ofc there were some other parts like 2 960's and some cases, but those I'm just gonna give to friends and my cousin. So basically parts list is: 32 GB of Viper ram EKWB S120 cooling kit with 980 waterblock and blue premix Better cable management with corsair white sleeved cables 6950x(majority of money haha) only mitx x99 mobo from asrock GTX 1080 until waterblock arrives and then 980 oced(1080 goes into origin) 1TB 840 SSD Corsair 250D
  7. The frontside is decent in terms of cable management, but the back is hellll
  8. http://imgur.com/OrPWe0y Done! Some pics. It turned out well, and from now on I'm only buying lian li cases. http://http://[Imgur](http://i.imgur.com/OrPWe0y.jpg?1)http://
  9. Haha true true 5-7 OP. Well everything arrived and I put it together, but I could only really cable manage one side, lel. I also didn't realize my ASUS Maximus vii hero only supported two gpus, So two titan blacks on 1 side, and 1 on the other. Still not too shabby. I guess the 1080 is going in my origin then, and I'll probably get two more when they get in stock and I don't have to buy from scalpers on ebay at outrageous prices. My old 980 is going in a custom loop watercooled build with a 6950x using a bunch of leftover parts like my 840 EVO and old ddr4 ram and corsair 250D so I don't have to spend too much. Once I get the dominator ram in I'll take some pictures of the clean(ish) front and the messy back xD. Also I forgot to list my system specs for this build. CPU: 6700K/4790k GPU(S): x2 Titan Black/x1 Titan Black 4x8 Corsair dominator DDR4/ 2 x 8 Corsair dominator DDR3 2x 512 GB 850 PRO PSU AX1200i/ AX860i Cooler:2x EKWB Predator 240 expandable(Best watercooler I've ever used btw, just oozes quality like the case.) Case: LIAN LI PC-D666(Best case I've ever used as well, it is a work of art in a good sense) Motherboard: Asus Maximus VII impact Z97/Asus Maximus VII Hero Z170. Screen Acer Z35/ Asus PG278Q KB + M Razer Deathadder Chroma and Razer Blackwidow 2013.
  10. First parts arrived! I was tempted to get gpu blocks, but the performance to value wasn't very good.
  11. Hi guys, so I'm starting a dual pc build, but I have one other computer, this origin pc I bought around 2 years ago. I want to take it on a trip to europe, and I honestly don't really care for laptops(I've had a sager before and I sold it), so I was thinking of portablizing the origin. I was wondering what casing you guys would recommend Should I use a pelican case like this? http://www.pelican.com/us/en/product/watertight-protector-hard-cases/large-case/transport-case/1730/ Or like this? http://www.pelican.com/us/en/product/rack-mount-hard-cases/blackbox/4u/BlackBox4U/ Or hire someone like mountain mods to build me a case where I can easily fit the components in with fan mounts etc etc. This will be expensive, but my origin was extremely expensive when I bought it as well. http://www.mountainmods.com/custom-computer-case-p-404.html I basically just want to get all my gaming computers updated and in check and tidy up in general. I am probably going to wait for the 1080ti and use that in 2 way for the origin when it comes out, and for now just put in my 980 from my itx build from a while ago into it.
  12. Cmon they are effective if you spam em
  13. yeah I have an asus rog pg278q and I'm planning on getting a second one for this setup
  14. So I have two computers, and I don't have space for both... what to do? The sane guy would sell the parts for one, but I am no sane man. I am combining my two builds/upgrading them to create one monster. The upgrades list includes: 2x cable mods red corsair cable kit 2x EKWB predator 240mm AIO - Shipped 1x 8 x 2 corsair ddr3 dominator ram 1x 4 x 8 corsair ddr4 dominator ram GTX 1080 for itx computer LIAN LI PC-D666 3x Titan black from my origin pc computer for atx computer Might have forgotten to list more, but all the parts will arrive by june 5th. Get Ready!!!
  15. I might upgrade the cpu cooler at some point, but right now I just want to use it. I might put a h100i in one of my bigger machines though. Thanks for the suggestion.
