No fix. If its under warranty, RMA. Bad sectors are hardware side thing and there's no way you can do that. Just opening drive and putting it back together working requires clean room.

Its run from DVD/CD or USB before OS loads. So you need to make bootable drive for it and boot to it. F8 would be default key for selecting boot device for some BIOS.

Personally I'd say no. The Bulldozer (FX) Chips run very hot, the power consumption is very high and the single core performance very poor. They really aren't worth the money, especially since AM3+ boards are very expensive. There will be a lot of different price points of Zen, top of the line will be 300$ but there will defenetly also be cheaper CPUs.
But switching to a FX8350 would be a very expensive choice with a rather small upgrade in gaming performance.

It's all up to how long you wait until you buy it.
You could wait out for Zen, or get the 880k.
The 880k is not that much more expensive, but makes quite a difference and can be overclocked higher than the 860k.

I would recommend on staying away from the 860/880k though, as there is no upgrade path for the chip and it isn't that strong.

I personally have that chip, Bf4 does not run great on it. You will be severely bottenecked as to the point your GPU is only being used 40/50% while the CPU is locked at a 100% and your framerate is suffering.

WAIT HOLD UP. WE DONT WANT LINUS'S PERSONAL PC. The case has a lot of meaning to him guys. It was a gift from his wife. I believe it was the first gift from her too.
EDIT: Thanks for all the likes guys! Hopefully Linus or someone from LMG will read this and this will make Linus keep his build. Even if the goal of 100k is made we should convince Linus to do another build maybe, with signatures from the whole LMG family and maybe even his wife. This would let Linus keep the build he has with the special case his wife gave him. Besides, his personal PC would be more special to him than us.

Held657 got a reaction from CoolaxGaming in trying to overclock A8-6600k please help
I suppose the problem could be that the CPU part is now taking so much of the power that the GPU hasn't got enough left to work properly. But as the others mentioned before: Don't overlock your CPU, it's not worth it. If you want to improve gaming perfomance overlock the GPU and RAM. And I agree with @CoolaxGaming , don't overclock with AMD Overdrive, never worked properly with my 1090T, too. Use the BIOS or Easytune.

I completly agree with you on missing BC 2 so much. I think Battlefield 3 and 4 are awesome, too. But BC 2 was just something special and I simply played it so much more than BF 3 or BF 4.

I've had so much fun with this game, so many memories... Battlefield 3 was OK, 4 is a disgrace, only played 7-8 hours at the time of launch and never played again.
BC2 had it all. destruction (which was satisfying and effective), teamwork (really made a difference), balance(was flawless), gunplay, suppression system (which was not even implemented back then), map design, DLCs (Vietnam was legendary at a price of 15$!)...
What are your opinions on this, do you agree with me?

So I just checked your PSU and you won't need a new one. Neither for 2 GTX660s nor a GTX 780 or R9 290(X).

Ehm it's a 1TB HDD. If a 1TB SSD would only cost 50 bucks nobody would use HDDs anymore  . The problem with the GTX 660 SLI config is that you won't gain additional VRAM because they don't share their VRAM. So You would still only have 2 GB of VRAM. But it would work in a mATX rig.

So this would be my recommendation: You keep the SSD and throw everything else away in the end to get this:

The Bitfenix Prodigy is the small formfactor case, it won't get any smaller than that for such powerfull hardware. I would go with the Corsair H60 liquid cooler instead of the 212 EVO because it's smaller on the mainboard and more powerfull for better overclokcing. You could keep your 8 GB of RAM for now and get the GTX 780 I suggested instead.

Corsair 350D is a case. For PSU I would go with the Seasonic I already suggested if your current PSU is not good enough: http://pcpartpicker.com/part/seasonic-power-supply-ssr650rm
Oh and I forgor about you needing much TMU/VRAM. You might wanna switch to a 6GB GTX 780 like t his one? http://pcpartpicker.com/part/evga-video-card-06gp43787kr

So technically it's not worth upgrading from your i5 3570K to a i5 4690K, but since you want a new mainboard ...
Else there's not much to keep from your current rig. I would defenetly keep the SSD. Else maybe case, PSU & RAM? Case depends wether you want to keep it, PSU depends if it's good enough. And RAM, well what RAM do you have? 8 GB DDR3 will do.
Everything else I would stay with the build I already posted, but switch the GPU to a GTX 780: http://www.ncixus.com/products/?sku=DF1426%20&vpn=TS-PDU3&manufacture=TRANSCEND%20%20%20&catid=1

    1. The SSD and RAM don't match the yellow perfectly.

Why do you want to do the same mistake again? PSUs that come with cases are mostly crap. You already bought a case of these guys and the PSU is crap, so now you go and buy another case of them and just for the PSU? Dude sry but that is stupid. ANd also for such serious overclocking the case is completly crap. No airflow at all. The included PSUs are probably not even 80Plus and are nearly burning inside this case. just keep your case and get a good PSU. Or even better get a new case and seperatly a new PSU.
