Where does it say 2x? The bar being 2 times higher doesn't mean shit if there's no scale. Orochi can be 1x, which makes Summit 1.5x just like on the left chart.

TheDefinitionOfInsanity reacted to ALwin in Google Nik Collection is Free
Around six or so odd years ago I first learned of Nik Collection, which was later bought by Google.  Today Google has made Nik collection FREE! for both Mac and Windows.
    https://www.google.com/nikcollection/

Nik Collection and DxO Viewpoint are the only two plugins I use with Adobe Lightroom for editing photos, aside from Photoshop's integration with Lr.  Originally costing around $500, when Google purchased the software from the original dev team they reduced the price to around $150.  Now Google has made the software free.  I cannot recommend it enough, it is one of the best plugins for Adobe Lightroom and for those who do not use Lr, they can be used as a standalone tool.

They support 10-bit per channel color on DirectX, but not on OpenCL/OpenGL which are used by professional applications.

Canon 10-18 is the way to go, unless you need f2.8. In that case there is Tokina 11-16 or the newer 11-20, but it is more expensive.

In that case, buy the camera you are comfortable holding and using.  In terms of photo image quality, all 3 cameras should perform more or less the same.  And all 3 models seem like they would produce about the same quality video.

The best way to compere them would be to read the reviews and check which one offers the specs you require.

By the time DX12 becomes relevant, both 970 and 390 will become irrelevant.

After having some hands on time with a 700D, 750D and a D5300, I ended up going with the Canon 750D w/ 18-55mm kit lens.

    Thanks for the advice

Does it have to be a DSLR? You can have Sony A7 with kit lens for about 1300 and it will produce better pictures than a Nikon and better video aswell.

TheDefinitionOfInsanity got a reaction from Williamchan87 in Moving to Sigma 18-35mm f/1.8 (Canon 70D) - Yay or Nay?
Sigma 18-35 is the sharpest zoom lens you can put on a 70D. You won't need image stabilization with f/1.8. It gives you more than twice the amount of light compared to f/2.8 lens. It is also built like a tank. BUT. You'll have to adjust the AF by using the dock or in-camera adjustments. As far as i know, the focusing issue is not fixed and is present on the 70D. Mine won't focus at 18mm at 2+ meters at all. It has absolutely insane front focus at 18mm. Things are much better at longer end, but could use some adjustments as well. However, when it does focus right on target, it is incredibly sharp, it will give a 5D Mark III with 24-70 a run for its money.

Buy Sigma 18-35 + dock if you want absolute best IQ from a crop sensor, or go for Canon 17-55 if you want IS to fail within two years. (this is not a joke)
