Not sure why a cpu with poor overclocking temps wasn't used as a better example. My 4790k went from thermal throttling at 4.7ghz to 85 degs in stress tests from delidding. If linus's goal was to tell his audience not to risk destroying your cpu by delidding then fair enough.. but then again he's got a video on spray painting a motherboard..so me is confused

A tissue worked but when I folded it to make it thicker it didn't work. Sadly I don't have capacitive gloves. Not cold enough here in straya for me to wear gloves haha

Happened to me few months back. Owned my 6+ for 1.5 years
Took it into Apple Store and and took one look at the flickering screen and said yep we'll give you a new replacement no charge.  Was pretty happy with that

if the 6700k beats all the other cpu's in gaming why do we keep seeing extreme edition cpus being used in gaming benchmarks?

Regardless whether the phone bending is stupid or not, it's disturbing how the easy the aluminum body splits open at the point of bend. Surely that's gotta be an indication of poor quality material used for the body.

There is "smart" software reporting but just like with hdds it is still possible to have failure without warning (with hdd this is generally related to the head fucking something up, with an ssd it's harder to diagnose.)

In the video they say it should be possible with any iGPU (integrated/onboard GPU) and dGPU (discreet GPU) combination. It's not brand-specific and the only limitations with be how powerful each GPU is.
