  1. Current monitor is a 24" AOC...Something that's starting to have issues, and since I've fairly recently upgraded to a 2070 super, I want to replace it before it totally dies. So as the title says, I'm trying to figure out what'd be better, or even possible with my given price range. At minimum I want 27". Ideally, I'd like at least 27", 2k or higher and a higher than 60hz refresh rate. In searching, there is so many options that look entirely similar that I am having difficulties discerning which one to get. If this has been answered before, I apologise.
  2. Right, budget. ~$300 AUD total. Bit more maybe since exchange rates are terrible atm.
  3. I'm wondering, would I better off getting a decent set of headphones plus the mod mic attachable doohickey, or getting a gaming headset with a good mic? My headphones are just about falling apart, so I figured I could use this as a chance to upgrade my audio. I don't have room for a stand alone mic (tiny room, no where to sit a stand alone mic), so a headset option is the only way for me.
  4. As true as that is, doesn't really answer the question. I remember hearing shit loads of criticism from people about win10 on early release.
  5. With the tech quickies news bit about Microsoft dropping windows 7, should I finally update to win10? I've been holding off, mainly for the initial security/privacy reasons, but I'm wondering if now is the time to upgrade, since it's apparently free (or not? Not sure). I plan to upgrade my rig in the not so distant future, so perhaps upgrading now so I can just drop the old drive in as a backup/spare drive is a good idea?
  6. Ah okay then. Unless things change drastically early next year when I plan to buy all this stuff, I may just give AMD a go then! I assume I need a different motherboard, right?
  7. In anticipation of Cyberpunk 2077, and a general want to upgrade my old system, I am looking to spend about a max of $2100 AUD (Roughly 1400 USD at current exchange rates) to get myself something that can play most things very well. The most recent video showed quite a lot of helpful information about potential pricing and what GPU to get for what situation, but I don't really know what I should get in terms of CPU. I've always ran Intel just because it's what I've been told is the best. Now, I'm unsure. For my use-case, I'll be using Greta v2.0 pretty much exclusively for gaming with a pretty heavy focus on competitive FPS games and other intensive titles. I dabble in minor 2d photoshop work for other hobbies, and plan to get a CAD or similar program to work on 3d printing files. I apologize if this question has been answered before, and appreciate any answers.
  8. okay here's the tracert thing and the -n 100 thing @Tabs
  9. I will do that in a little bit. I decided to check if the card itself was loose. It isn't. Currently rebooting.
  10. probably wrong, but that's what I got.
  11. Here's what it currently looks like. I am running windows 7 because I don't like windows 10
  12. The phone transmitter doohickey is quite close to the router, but it has been ever since I've lived here, and I don't think it's ever been an issue before. I have also called the ISP in the past couple of days and they insist it is on my end. I turned off the microwave and secondary phone reciever, and it's probably a placebo thing but the speed seems to have reached a slightly more stable 4-8 mbps. As mentioned before though, connecting via LAN or cable is not possible.
  13. No idea if you're still talking to me or not, but the speed has improved a bit, but its fluctuating quite a lot between sub 1mbps to around 10mbps
