  2. Linus. love you and your crew and are eternally thankful for the content and knowledge that you bring to us on a daily basis. so yeah... Thanks <3
  3. I love the waterproofs and the great battery life, I also LOVE that dbrand are making this possible
  4. Soo.... At my school we have a club called "Tech Squad" which has lots of junior members in years 7-9 of their schooling lives and a few seniors like myself who are in our final years. After lots of convincing etc. I've managed to get a semi confirmation that this is going to happen. The idea of this is for it to be a "showcase" PC with water cooling, LEDs etc. Parts wise we have some things lying around at school that we can salvage, so the parts list is to be as such. I know that it isn't amazing but it is more or less the best that I can do considering supplier, budget etc. Parts: CPU - Intel Core i7 920 Motherboard - Some ASUS mobo with black PCB to match CPU RAM - Corsair Vengance 2x4GB GPU - EVGA GTX 770 Case - CUSTOMNESS PSU - We already have one which is Corsair from memory, but other than that I can't remember (I'm on holiday) Cooling: CPU - EKWB EK-Supremacy Clean Nickel GPU - EKWB EK-FC770 GTX Nickel Pump - EKWB EK-DDC 3.25 Piping - XSPC HighFlex Hose White Rad - XSPC EX240 Dual Fan Radiator Fans - Corsair SP120s RES - Customnesss As I said this is less than ideal, but what I think is the best for what we have to work with. Moving on, the more exciting part. The case... So as this is to be a showcase build I have been thinking that an extremely open style might be nice so after a few mins on sketchup this is what I came up with. I obviously didn't spend the most time on it, but the basics are there. Wiring will come up through the baseplate next to where it needs to go to. HDD wil be underneath the custom res , I plan to have the motherboard on standoffs with some frosted acrylic and LED underglow. Also almost forgot, have decided to go with the tried and true black and white colour scheme, the mobo doesn't have any coloured heat-sinks so all should be good The next update won't be for a few weeks as I am currently on break, but as soon as school is back I will try to get everything ordered asap as well as have the MTECH ( Hard materials technology) teachers to get onto making the case.
  5. I like the customizability and the longer battery life, my nexus 5's battery is a little dissapointing!!
  6. Linus you are great, I absolutely loved that review! I would have to say the the improvement of battery life and the speakers that make sense compared to my current, a nexus 5...
  7. I use windows 8 and hardly ever touch my mouse, unless i am playing a game. What do you need to use mouse for?
  8. What have you got on the USB? Is it just the .iso file or have you burned iso?
  9. Hey Everyone, After recently seeing Linus show the Sennheiser headphone stand, I decided to build my own, as I always just left them on the top of my monitor and didn't wanna shell out $ on it though, so I decided to make my own, so here it is I quickly put together a model of it on sketchup. So at this point it was time to get cracking! I dug around under the house until I found some wood that would do me well Quickly sketched an outline of the holder itself Next I clamped it down and got ready saw. Sadly I don't have a jigsaw or anything, so time to do it the old fashioned way! Basic shape cut, but more work on the bottom needed Its a bit rough, but it's good enough for now Time to get sanding! Ok, screw that, time to crack out the power tools (I didn't actually end up using a rotary, I found another that worked better) Top sanded! Headphone test fit: Perfect All the sanding done - for now! It isn't quite perfectly even, but I think that I will survive Next step is to make the mount... Tell me what you think
  10. Damn, that makes it hard I'm afraid that everything looks like it is done well and should be working no problem. I pulled an old router out of my cupboard and did this same thing and it worked fine, so good luck figuring it out!
  11. So if i have this right, 192.168.0.108 is your computer and 192.168.1.8 is your gb router? You are running the server/service when you are testing right?
  12. So your pc/ server is connected to the gb router, which is connected to the old one which the forward used to work fine on? Have a look at this. http://portforward.com/help/doublerouterportforwarding.htm
  13. He is using a DSLR... New camera is a Canon t3.
  14. This build is SO sweet, loving all the detail and cant wait to see moar
  15. They look overexposed... This means that the camera has taken in too much light which results in a loss of focus and makes whites look washed out. It also appears that a flash has been used and this means that reflective surfaces appear very bright.
  16. In rural zones, yes, in the citys is is about double that. Fibre is slowly getting rolled out, personally it is available in 2 years... :(
  17. I used to use in ear headbuds, but they are always uncomfortable for long periods of use, in my experience, so I am looking at some closed headphones that are not too bulky or expensive as I want to be able to have them on me for long trips and to carry around with me, so rugged is a plus as well. Thanks, romanwilton
  18. Logitech makes a headset which is basically the wired version of the G930s, they arent quite the same, but have a look at the G35s.
  19. I don't know if anyone noticed, but the hobbit had a distinct lack of blood. I realised this when I watched the film for a second time, I think that possibly it is to lower the rating(less gore) or to reduce production costs(less cgi to add) what are your thoughts?
