HAHAHA hearing a bunch of devs dropping ray tracing support in their games is hilarious. The RTX series has to be one of the worst. This actually might be good as Nvidia is going to try and milk a dead technology as they are in too deep now and AMD can gently slide in with much cheaper cards that do the same thing

So now they've killed SLI (and the actual hardware support too, you need a 2080 or higher for it), and ray-tracing?

Well AMD already mentioned they aren't adding ray tracing until it becomes more mainstream, now thanks to those companies not wanting to invest in new tech, ray tracing likely doesn't even have a chance.

Good, nobody was asking for better light rays and reflections anyway.

But guys, when you're dying how much will you regret not seeing real-time ray tracing?!?

I mean it's cool but not practical or what we were asking for. Maybe if they had released GTX equivalents it would have been fine. Like an RTX2080 and GTX2080

And i'm sure people said the same thing about Anti-Aliasing or Physx "oh you don't want that it'll never take off". Rasterized graphics have a limit but people that only care about " BUT MAH FPS" are being the loudest, the billion dollar game companies aren't going to invest if people are whining they don't want it without even knowing the benefit.

AMD's graphics division seems to be pretty...meh. They really need to come out with some fresh stuff.

If it added $50 to the cards I would be all for it. But the insane markups are not acceptable
