So what do large corporations plan to do agains…

Not really, there needs to be a development team as of now but theoretically there doesn't have to be one and governance by DAOs and subDAOs alleviates centralization. Fundamentally the best solution the majority agrees with will be implemented so I don't know how you compete with that given their current scumlord business tactics

People are slowly building replacements for popular tech services like Uber, Google maps, ISPs, telecoms, delivery services, and so on. It's legitimately possible to work independently for decentralized products now and support yourself. So many issues are alleviated from working for decentralized tech. There's no resumes, hiring bias, made up working hours, and your work is a direct in to out function. You work more you make more. You work less you make less. You can take time off whenever, you can work from wherever, you can wear whatever, you can work for whoever, you can personally contribute, everyone is represented in governance voting, its secured by blockchains for fraud protection, and the list goes on and on Why would anyone choose to work for McDonalds and be forced to live into that mold and make less than they could riding their bike around town mapping or plugging in a box at home. Maybe pressure to increase minimum wage? Or perhaps we will see automation start taking mass adoption in public services
  3. So what do large corporations plan to do against decentralized tech? By nature it will always have what the majority wants and the best solution at the time for cheaper. Maybe proprietary tech? But that's already not working well

So they're just new competitors. A competitor to Uber isn't going to be less centralized than Uber, there still needs to be an entity coordinating everything.

Someone still needs to actually do it, and will want to be paid for that. That's the same as what Uber does, they develop the platform. Someone will also have to be responsible for any legal matters and that won't be free. In the end once you've fulfilled all the requirements it's just a company again.

  4. Not a scam just a bad product. I wonder if you can get sued for such claims in clickbait
  5. Why not just buy these https://www.heatbit.com/
  6. Hella humid room? Water damage? Or heavy smoker?
  7. This started happening years ago for me and I just got an extension that auto configures the settings. It was mainly to get rid of annotations by default but works for quality settings
  8. Buy someones ad profile, use machine learning to find mental illnesses in it, sell data to drug companies? Nah seriously though I feel this information would contain hyper specifics into someones brain and could be very valuable to a health care providers. As in a way it's a looking glass into someone that they didn't have a chance to change based upon others perceptions.

  9. Why though? A typical user would never run into anything they could tell meaningful differences from. If you had a valid reason I could understand but when you say you would go insane it just highlights a lack of understanding in the area. If anything windows is more frustrating especially on laptops The trackpads and power management makes most windows laptops non viable if you depend on them daily for work.
  10. Macbook pro and call it a day. There really isn't much competition given what you are looking for. It will have superior battery life, standby life, security, size, keyboard, and USB C for extended peripheral support (with an adapter of course).
  11. Hello, I was recently approached to convert a small business's computers to azure thin clients instead of having local installs and sharing physical devices. How should I bill them? Should I do an hourly estimate with rate? Or should I just do a lump sum that includes all? I feel I should cover any bases that include call backs or work outside the scope of what was asked. Thanks! Also, I know this depends on a lot of factors, but what should I charge? Historically I always undercharge people but I should probably pay myself accordingly. I was thinking around $1300-$2300 depending on the number of devices. I know other local IT companies and they would charge thousands and people are happily paying it.
  12. I'm pretty sure the emergency call button is on the lock screen? You can also spam the power button to call the police. My friend called the police 5 times in the same day from his android because he was biking
  13. The 1000 series was really the start to Nvidias foooked up prices. I haven't been excited for a GPU in a minute thanks to meh advances with PHAT price tags.
  14. LTT was basically my primary education in electronics throughout my life. I used to just sit on the LTT forum in class all day and answer questions lmao I think the real heros are people like @Lays @MageTank They personally spent a shit load of time teaching me hyper specifics of overclocking. To think I was just a teenager at the time and these people were dedicating hours to provide screenshots, replies, and just rich knowledge you only get from doing the shit yourself is absolutely invaluable and is a great show as of what a forum provides to a community. Thank you LTT for keeping the forum up all these years and thanks to the core members who still help others day after day for nothing other than shared passions.
  15. Nah you accept it get yourself a headset and now you can't be bothered to see the other VRdiots
  16. This is it, this headset is going to usher in the new age of social norms accepting people having headsets on in public. I also expect it to be $1999+ with the specs it has and I'm also really excited to see Apples implementation of mixed reality. The article says it even tracks the users legs?? So I am guessing inside out tracking for hand movements/gestures but it's actually usable this time. I would imagine Samsungs headset will leak any day now as well
  17. It's important to stand up against wrong doing from authoritative figures. The only way I was able to publish research papers was with sci hub so foook a paywall
  18. Piracy is the byproduct of unfair treatment of customers. People have no issue spending money and supporting the things they love. The issue is companies acting unfairly against you which results in pirating

If anyone says Spotify is better than Apple Mus…

Apple music is only better at sound quality and that's it. Every other regard is horseshit
  20. It's unfortunate you don't have a microcenter as that's realistically the only store I have had great success in with dealing with monitors. I had a PG27Q and got the extended support for like $180/$200 and after 2 years it started to get bad bleeding on the edges and I simply dropped my monitor off no questions asked, they didn't even look at it, then gave me store credit for the price of the monitor new. Then I simply got a better monitor as prices had come down since buying the other. So in a way you can roll upgrades for free with the extended support. Best Buy may be similar but I have never tried it and don't want to
  21. It's such a surreal experience working with decentralized projects now. You can talk with the CEO 1:1 on telegram/discord, contribute to the project, and your efforts are 1:1 sorta like commission but for your own company. I truthfully think this is the way work is going to go. You can now fully autonomously be your own employer, bank, and choose how and when you work. It's a great middle finger to corporate 9-5 logic

  22. Anyone know of a 100% remote position available? Looking for anything computer related that is software dev. Thanks!

  23. I mostly hear a mech keyboard in the back. You don't want to hear clicking in a pattern or any grinding noises. Everything in that audio clip sounded normal as they do make some noise as they are physically moving and fast af too. You could check the health in software to see if it's throwing errors as that's a good indicator the drive is on the way out
  24. Yeah you need to undervolt it. Try XTU or Throttlestop. You are hitting 91C and max package wattage so it's throttling down. I had a matebook pro x with the same CPU and I repasted, reapplying thermal pads, and undervolted and it stopped behaving sporadically.
