I'm tempted to buy those PBT caps for a Ducky TBH. Thanks for the link! I'm thinking maybe a shine 3 TKL with custom white caps? I'm considering how nice it might look with the white LED's just lighting up the keys. At least in my mind it looks awesome. Edit: I've seen LEDs that can push light through white PBT keys. I wonder if the shine has the oomph to do it. I think it would be awesome seeing the PBT caps just glowing.

Edit again: Saw the ducky yellow with PBT caps. Going for that look with white. When needed I can turn off the LEDs entirely and have a nice solid black and white look. When I want I can use all of the shine 3's crazy LED modes. Seems like a great plan to me.

I'm more than likely going to be going with the shine 3 TKL. I can't justify spending the extra $100 on the Filco I want, and I'm really just liking how the shine 3 looks.

For classy and portable, I would recommend something from Filco, Matias or Leopold brands.

So from what it seems so far I can't really go wrong with any AC router from a reputable brand?

Asus RT-AC66U is actually what I was looking at originally. I just tend to find that doing some research and asking some questions is better than impulse buying like I was about to do

So I'm in the market for a router. The current one I use is Comcast's Xfinity All-in-one and it's Comcastic (it's really, REALLY bad).

There is two computers hardwired in, and the only wireless device is my HTC One. Now the thing is, I like to use my phone to stream HQ Video (YouTube mostly, among other things) to my room, which is upstairs on the other side of the house. I BARELY get my wireless in that room, and I spend a lot of time buffering instead of actually watching anything.

Would wireless AC help my range and penetration? The walls are wood, and it's really not THAT far away from where my router is, this router is just absolutely terribad. I don't move large files or anything over my network, so the throughput isn't a main concern for me.

I'm thinking AC is the way to go, and if so, does anybody have any decent recommendations for wireless AC routers? Budget of around ~$200 USD maximum. I was considering Asus's wireless AC router, but that's just because I find Asus tends to be a good choice for pretty much anything they make.

Thanks anyone and everyone for the help!

The ax1200 is fully modular correct? If so, just unplug the cables and pull the psu to check. Much easier than having to deal with pulling all the cables out of the case. If it doesn't fit the you can just pop the psu back in and plug in the modular connectors. Shouldn't take too long at all.

ASUS hands down IMO. Since good routers last a few years, the AC66U will give good AC performance along its service life, and by the time you need to upgrade again, AC would have been a finalised standard and better routers would already be on the market. But if you want to save a few bucks, just go with the RT-N66U, since many clients won't have AC for quite awhile and it has the best N performance.

See how the new AMD cards perform before you make a decision. The 770 is a monster card, and check the new ~400$ AMD card when it releases and see which performs better. Strictly answering your question, I'd go with the 770 over the 7970 if you have the budget, but you can get 7970's for much cheaper than 770s.

If money isn't a factor, 770. If it is, 7970. You can't go wrong either way.

If you can afford the 2GB version I'd really recommend it. That being said, don't sweat it if you can't. You will be okay with 1GB of vram, especially at that resolution. Very few games would take use of more than 1GB, but it would be "future proofing" in a way, in case you would upgrade to 1080 or beyond.

Some games do really use more vram. I'm running 2GB cards and a heavily modded Skyrim can cause me to run out of vram quite easily, even at 1080p.

Hardware. That's what I'm mostly interested in. Behind the scenes and vlog style things are great too. I really missed those from the Computex coverage. Force dezel to keep a camera attached to his face 24 hours a day, that way if anything hilarious happens it will be certain that you have it on camera.
