The best way to get longevity out of your Mobo is to never apply to much pressure to it when moving it or installing new things inside of it, always make sure that you do not work on a carpet when touching it, and to make sure it touches no metal beyond the standoffs in your case. Basically just do that and make sure you have a high-quality power supply and your board should last for years.

    Depends.
Corsair don't make power supplies, they buy them and slap a sticker on it.
If you get an AX then it's SeaSonic. I've had my AX 860i for years and I push it hard. 0 problems so far.
VS, HX and such are lower quality PSUs, but they do all have their place. The problem comes when someone buys a $30 PSU and runs a 1080ti on it and expects it to last or even to last while overclocking.
You should know the placement of your products, not all are equal.

Mercury PSUs are also known as a "silent killer".
Also talking from personal experience. The PSU will work but your other HW will just keep on dying.
The Corsair VS series is pretty bad but compared to the Mercury PSUs... its a premium product.

You should get the Corsair CXM instead.

If you have to ask, it's probably crap. Buy something like https://pcpartpicker.com/product/B6XnTW/cooler-master-masterwatt-550w-80-bronze-certified-semi-modular-atx-power-supply-mpx-5501-amaab-us

Glad it's solved. Some Corsair power supplies suck, all depends on which model.

It could be a failing motherboard if you're overclocking hard on a cheap board.
However once you're pushing that hard it's most likely the CPU will give out before the motherboard.

Under normal use, or light to high overclocking the motherboard would normally outlive everything else.

But could also be bad RAM

Both Windows 7 and 10 get mostly identical security fixes, so they should be mostly identically secure. Windows 10 has some extra stuff in it that apparently opens it up to additional security issues, though.

That doesn't include the vulnerabilities that are there by Microsoft's design, and which are used by Microsoft to retrieve system data without authorization. There are over 3,150 of those in Windows 10, at the lowest data-harvesting setting in Home and Pro.

Also, if you count Windows 10's automatic update, automatic system restarts, automatic data-harvesting resets with updates to be stability and security issues, then Windows 10 has those, while Windows 7 doesn't.

There are no real performance gains with either OS, only performance trade-offs.

Can you provide a citation for that? I only saw mention of that in regards to Threadripper, but nothing implying that for Ryzen.

Also, some Intel CPU motherboard manufacturers (like Gigabyte) supply chipset drivers for Windows 7. So, newer Intel CPUs can still be supported in Windows 7. And even without chipset-specific drivers, the latest Intel and AMD CPUs still work in Windows 7 - they'll just be missing some minor power-saving feature or something like that.

I haven't seen a single report of a newer CPU having issues in Windows 7 - only reports that people are able to run Windows 7 with newer CPUs: Threadripper, Coffee Lake, and everything else. Basically, an x86 processor can work with an x86 OS.

Do you mean using Intel desecrate graphics vs NVIDIA dedicated? If it has an iGPU it may feel snappier because the GPU is so much closer to the CPU. It won't be as capable as dedicated graphics but in very low load applications in theory it could feel more responsive particularly if the driver is well optimized.

"touchwiz lag" why? You can install a custom version of android on it if you don't want to use touchwiz. All electronics are prone to become obsolete one day especially smartphones. Updates and apps needing more resources can speed this up.

From my experience it seems to depend on apps and the phone itself, haven't really experienced lag on any of my phones but the lower end phones like the galaxy grand prime i had, but the flagship ones i haven't really seen anything lag on them, at least not too much, i could be wrong though.

Honestly, it really depends on your situation.  If you aren't stationary a lot, like at home, a laptop is better, otherwise a desktop and either a smartphone or iPad will serve you better.

well i'll just put this here, on Android the BACK button is a fixed button (if your device has hardware buttons and if not always occupies the same spot on the display) so you don't have to go hunting for it and the sound/volume controls are all in one place, not like that crazy shit i've seen on Apple devices where you have a volume slider but then under settings/MUSIC there is another slider that sets max volume to the headphones, serious;y what the fuck is that?

Having a good desk setup is really nice especially for gaming. This being the case makes the desktop very appealing as you can hook up monitors keyboards and mice into it without it being awkward. You try and do the same with a laptop and it just feels weird especially when you can't just have it sit on the floor nicely like you can with a desktop. One of the biggest benefits of a desktop though is cooling. Even right now with desktop class hardware in laptops they still underperform because of thermal throttling. All in all I would say having a gaming laptop is nice for gaming on the go but when I want to do some serious gaming I want to be at my desk with my desktop.
