  1. Running a 760, that runs around 80C ,_,
  2. I always enjoy companies creating projectors that don't have to be mounted ridiculously far back to get a comfortable image~! Good luck all!
  3. Yeah. It doesn't matter though does it?
  4. Hey guys, So three months ago I built my first computer and I installed my OS onto the SSD and made a mental note to make sure to carefully set download locations onto my hdd. So I installed steam, afterburner, origin, etc onto my hdd when it asks where to write. However, after three months my ssd has only 24 gb's of space left (originally 256 gb). I think this is due to so many things defaulting to be downloaded into the ssd such as download managers, plugins, and all sorts of tiny stuff. Anyways, I want to re install my os and just get everything to be fresh again so I was planning to download the os onto the hdd and move it onto the ssd. So this would default everything to the hdd and i would be in complete control as to what gets put on my ssd. I was wondering how this would be done. I was playing around with moving my desktop to my hdd, but it ended up not copying everything since something was open and i canceled but everything is in this or that folder and moved around too much. As a result, I dont think moving the os from the hdd would be as simple as cutting and pasting the windows file onto the ssd? If you have any experience or know how, I am always willing to learn, thank you! As a note, I know about cloning the os and moving all of it onto the ssd, but that would cause the same problem since my documents would be left on the hdd, but everything would still be defaulted onto the ssd, so I don't think that is an option. I just want only the boot OS on the ssd. Thanks.
  5. Ok, I know that it normally fluctuates but this seemed kinda excessive to me, why doesn't the program just keep the load at 60% and instead use 100% and 0% back and forth?
  6. Hey guys, So I have been running Boinc and I have been looking at the distribution of the loads my cpu is doing and I noticed that it is pretty erratic (See clip below). I looked through the FAQ's and I found out that this is normal since the program takes the cpu's time and then gives it periods of rest to reach 60% load. So my question is, will this erratic load on and off damage my cpu? I know it is just power going through it but would it deteriorate my cpu over time? I have no problems at the moment but im worried about the future. As a result, I am currently setting the cpu availability at 98% so the graph stays flat at 100%. Thanks
  7. Hey, I am planning to build a small gaming desktop that is in a micro ATX form factor. I don't want the board to include onboard graphics since I will be installing my own and I would prefer if it had two PCI express slots. Any recommendations? I'm planning to use it as a gaming/working pc. Thanks!
  8. Yeah, that's what I originally thought! Do you have any recommendations for PSU's that are great for its price? And compatible with a BTX board?
  9. Around 100$ preferably 60$. Does a BTX motherboard have anything special concerning power supplies?
  10. Hmm, I'm just looking for suggestions of PSU's that fit in the case.
  11. Hi there, recently my 2008 Dell Precision T3400 has stopped working and the diagnostic lights have indicated that my motherboard has failed. So I decided to switch out the BTX board with an identical one and install two Nvidia GTS 450's along with the new board. So currently I have to get a newer power supply that is capable of 700W according to newegg and Asus PS calculators. I am not really sure how to select a power supply that both fits the original case and is relatively inexpensive. It must be 10x14x15 cm to fit. My system: Dell Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 2.4ghz 1066mhz x2 Nvidia GTS 450 x4 DDR2 SDRAM - 667MHZ DDR2-667/PC2-5300 1gb Genuine Dell TP412 Motherboard 16X/48X SATA INTERNAL DVD-ROM DRIVE. DVD±RW DRIVE SATA 50GB 7.2KRPM SATA-II 8mb Cache Hard Drive I am just trying to fix up an old computer to be usable again. Thanks! Also, do I need a BTX power supply? Or are they all the same.
