I once had both an 18.4 inch laptop and I switched from a 13 inch when I got it. What a transition. I've always found I just prefer 17 inch/larger ones, I put them on a table anyway most of the time.

They've been moving to separating the video from the audio, and as they do that there's little reason to carry multiple tracks, just wasted space.

I'm excited for a new "cutting edge " display from apple, they were way ahead of the curve a lot of times on screens, but this is madness. It's beyond greed, it's transparent to even the most layman customer. It's so brazen. Apple will always charge more for hardware, and people know that. But 1k for a STAND? That's 100$ shy of the low end imac! It's not greed, it's more like active disdain for the customer's dignity. When people buy an overprice apple computer product, they wanted mac, they often got it for the workplace, and they are getting something, they feel good about their purchase. No one will feel good about spending this kind of money on a stand, no matter how much money they have to throw around. A simple stand that costs more than a lot of people in the US make in a month after taxes, and well more than I make in a week. Even expensive fashion items like shoes make more sense....this is barely even visible from the front....this cost twice as much as my standing desk at work!

Mounting between the vesa adapter from apple and the end user's equipment.
Addition:
If the vesa size on their display is standard then you can just buy an off the shelf vesa mount.
If it's not standard, but can fit on any mount, then you can just buy the adapter and use any mount you want*.
If the adapter won't fit on any mount, then you might need to buy what apple offers until someone makes their own version.
*As long as they fit together, if not, then maybe you can 3d print an adater that goes between your mount and their vesa adapter.

when it comes to stuff like that I'm pretty lazy these days.Mostly cook stuff like this in a crock pot, and it usually comes out pretty good. Soup for me if I cook it on the stove is usually "i have these odd ingredients, lets use them up" usually potato based. The cubes are great because they keep forever and even if I don't have anything to make a good broth, I can at least make it good enough. Speaking of crock pot I can really go for some good ham and cabbage right now...

@DrMacintosh I really like it, part because I'm happy to see it being an actual desktop agian, but I do like it. I don't think ti's a good apple design, like I'd reject it if I were in that position, but I'd happily use that case.

Fuck yes I love this. It doesn't top the g5, but they're definitely going the right direction. A useful mac pro that case Unfortunately gonna be a good few years before I can find a case on its won for a good price, but I look forward to using it for builds.

so I send a ticket, and I get no automated response with my fucking ticket id so that's great. From my memory it takes weeks to get an automated reply, then your reply to that and wait weeks to get a human reply. And I can't even get a ticket submitted in the first place I guess.

RMA it. call them and make them pay for shipping, it was defective out of the box (can work, done it with corsair before) If it were out of warranty, soldering a new switch is pretty easy but sending it back is easier if you're able to get the receipt from whoever gave it to you. It's often hard to be like "that thing you gave me didn't work" so soldering a new one is always an option. Oh, and if it was amazon and it was in the past 30 days just get a new one from them. Easier and faster, free return shipping as well.
