  1. It's not spying necessarily, the equipment is supposed to log and send back location information for operation management and analytics (If you subscribe and pay for that service). But that's no excuse for bad security of course.
  2. You can always just buy a real mac keyboard for your desktop: https://www.apple.com/shop/product/MQ052LL/A/magic-keyboard-with-numeric-keypad-us-english-silver
  3. LMG is not part of AT&T even indirectly. They have a business relationship where LMG basically buys a management service from Fullscreen and in return Fullscreen displays ads on their videos and handles copyright stuff.
  4. I personally use 2015 Macbook Pro 13" every day and love using macOS on it. If I could pick any laptop in the world, I would pick this one as it has the amazing trackpad and ports. 1) MacOS has bad support for software It has support for everything I need. It has web browser, spotify and office suite. I don't really need to use anything else on my laptop. Everything is online nowadays.2) No Gaming or just few games If I ever want to game I have a windows computer for that, though I rarely even want to play games anymore.3) Less piracy ( good for some and bad for other ) Software piracy is illegal so I have no interest in it.4) Poor performance ( if not hackintosh ) Performance is all about the hardware, my macbook pro is just as powerful as a windows ultrabook with the same hardware.5) No Nvidia support which means no CUDA/RTX for 3D/Video editing artists. ( if not hackintosh ) I don't even have a dedicated GPU so I cannot comment about this6) Outdated UI design / no customization ( everything literally looks identical to 2011 iPhone on 2018 MacOS or for example their Store icon looks like it was made by someone on Fiverr for 5$ ) I personally think that macOS GUI looks really nice, the trackpad gestures alone are miles ahead of anything on the Windows side and make all of the shortcomings of the platform worth it. And at least for me it has enough customization.
  5. Well Xbox One X has Polaris gpu paired with that Jaguar processor, so it's not that old gpu wise.
  6. If I remember correctly the raw power of Xbox One X is around the RX 480 or 580. PS4 Pro is slighly slower.
  7. Sounds smart, at least now you finally get good return on your money when you buy fancier card. They could be more transparent with this though.
  8. It will work just fine
  9. Quadros and GTX cards are basically the same cards. The difference comes in software, there are some specific features that only Quadro cards support in professional applications. But this is very application dependant, a lot of applications can do just fine without these. Quadro drivers also go through a lot more testing but how much this affects normal usage is arguable. Quadro cards can basically game just as well as Geforce cards, just look at the clock speed, architecture and cuda count, that determines how fast the card can game.
  10. I use iPhone SE because it was at the time of purchase (and still is) the only small and powerful phone (small phone being under 4.5 inches here). iOS has all the apps I need so I have been very happy with it. Though when this phone kicks the dust I will probably get an Android device, the lack of headphone jack on the newer ones is a deal breaker.
  11. I hope you realise that the "small" $8 cut equals over 300 million dollars saved in a quarter. I am not sure if that is penny pinching. Apple phones benefit less than the android counterparts from fast charging as well. Because the batteries are so much smaller.
  12. I would decide between 8370 and 9590 if you want the best. 9590 has TDP around 200w and will burn your board if it's not ready for it. 8370 should work on almost all of the boards as it has way lower TDP.
  13. If you want to run a private company you can limit your profits. But I don't see how companies run by max profits have any less staying power. If they treat customers bad people will stop buying their products and their profits will go down, then they have to fix this aspect to keep going.
  14. Well if the Competitor B is a public company people will try to take over it to gather the possible profits. Also when company doesn't focus on profits it's not going to stay competitive for long, product development needs money as well. Also making top quality products doesn't mean you can't be making good profit. As long as you can market and sell to audience that is willing to pay the price for your quality product it works just fine.
  15. Well that depends on what you consider the best interest of company to be. In my opinion the mission of a company is to create more wealth for it's owners. So in that definition the best interest of the company are also the best interest of shareholders. In my opinion people need to direct the direction where companies head with their products by voting with their wallets. If you don't like that a company makes products with bad quality don't buy them. When profits go down the company will react and increase the quality of products.
  16. Well If you are the founder and have given up your stake in the company by IPO or selling your shares in the market it's no longer your company. The owners always decide. Sometimes founders circumvent this by creating alternate stock with higher voting power than the one that is on the market. That's how Mark Zuckerberg has 60% of the voting power in Facebook with only actually owning 25% of the equity.
  17. Well that is the case usually when the leadership of the company (CEO and board) isn't acting in the interest of shareholders. In that case shareholders have the ultimate power to replace them.
  18. Companies act in the interest of their owners, so if the tactic they currently use is more profitable in long term and short term they choose that instead of admitting flaws etc.
  19. It's not like thinkpads are any more reasonably priced than macbooks. Nicely specced T480s costs almost as much as macbook pro 13" with similar specs at least here in Finland.
  20. Crosshair VI Hero is the step down model from the extreme: https://pcpartpicker.com/product/gj7CmG/asus-crosshair-vi-hero-atx-am4-motherboard-crosshair-vi-hero. I have it and it has served me adequately.
  21. 1060 6GB or 1070 would probably do you fine.
