Hi there,
Thank you for contacting Razer Support. My name is Joel and I will be assisting you with your query regarding the Razer BlackWidow keyboard.
Give these steps a try and let me know what the results are.
1) Try it on a different PC or laptop as a plug and play device without installing the driver. Does the same issue occur?
2) Try updating the keyboard firmware. To update the firmware:
Launch Synapse 2.0
Unplug the keyboard.
Hold down the Fn key and plug it back into the usb port.
After 5 seconds, let the Fn key go.
Windows will detect a new device and it will enter into bootloader mode. Let it install the required drivers.
Unplug and re-plug the keyboard as per normal without holding down the Fn key if it does not respond after the bootloader installs.
3) Try uninstalling then re-installing Synapse 2.0 and see if the issue still persist. Perform a clean Re-installation and see if this helps. Here's how:
*Close Synapse 2.0
*Terminate the “RzSynapse.exe” process from the Windows Task Manager.
*Highlight and Copy the following directory “C:\Program Data\Razer”
*Press the Windows Key + R
*Paste the directory into the field and hit Enter
*Delete the Synapse Folder.
*Uninstall the Synapse program from your machine by navigating to - Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Programs and Features
*Restart your computer.
*Visit www.razersupport.com/downloads and reinstall the latest version of Synapse 2.0. Run the installer and make sure to click OK/Allow buttons on the User Account Control (UAC) prompts.
*Restart your machine and log back into your Synapse account.
I hope that the steps above managed to resolve your issue. Thanks and have a good day!
