  1. I just got a new laptop recently but it's very useless when I don't have internet so is there a fairly lightweight game I can download for free that is entertaining enough for when the internet's gone? (It happens more commonly than you'd imagine) it's a UX303U with i5-6200U, 720p screen and integreated graphics if you need to know.
  2. So I bought an Asus UX303U with core i5 6200U and 8 GB Ram but it feels like a downgrade from my previous pc because of how slow and inconsistent the connection is with my home wifi. Anyone has had similar issues? How could I fix it?
  3. i5-5200U and i5-6200U I like the color of the fifth gen more but that's about it.
  4. @Godlygamer23 in more understandable terms, the sixth generation laptop is 1.15 times the price of the fifth gen
  5. I'm being sold 2 generations of the Acer Aspire V3, one has an i5 fifth generation CPU and the other one a 6th gen Core i5. Is there a big difference to justify the higher price? RAM is the same (6 GB) and both have integrated graphics. Meant for Solidworks/Matlab/Office and occasional light gaming in low settings.
  6. Matlab, Solidworks, SPICE (engineering programs) and some occasional Smite, TF2, older games, emulators (basically some light gaming)
  7. I have a 15.6" Asus laptop and it's ok works pretty good. However it's huge and I can't carry it to college. I'm gonna post the specs down below so you can help me pick something better. I can spend around 600 dollars with some flexibility. I don't even know if there is something worth my money at that price but that's what I'm here for. Thanks!. Specs: -Intel® Core i5-3210M CPU @ 2.50GHz, 2501 Mhz -6 GB RAM -Nvidia GeForce 610M with 2GB Memory -512 GB HDD (at least that much storage is a must) -15.6" screen (too big), 1366 x 768 (alright resolution I guess) -Weights a metric ton -It's a K45VD in case I missed any info Thanks!
  8. 1. I wouldn't be able to tell you since I haven't used one but I'd say you should be able to 2. Of course not. It's your Pi you can use it for whatever you want. Plus, a portable PC is project on its own! Some applications you should be guilty for are: Paper stopper, pet rock replacement, frisbee, toilet paper, you get the idea..
  9. A Raspberry Pi is basically a mini computer as everyone said. Yes it can be used as a personal computer but you can do a lot more stuff (just Google "raspberry pi cool projects"), basically anything that you can do on a PC that requires low computing power can be adapted to the small and convenient form factor of the Pi. I've seen people use Arduino (like a Pi just even simpler) and it requires coding, however most of the code you can already find online and you can copypaste it if you don't want to learn. I assume Pi works similarly. What you have to remember is that this is in principle a learning device to teach people into electronics and programming. That means some things but mostly that it is very intuitive and doing cool stuff with the Pi is simple enough.
  10. I forgot to mention Bioshock was played at 720p, will it stil play Far Cry 3 on low?
  11. Hey guys hope you're having a good day So I have my laptop which runs games but isn't really stellar (Bioshosck Infinite ~28 fps at medium) and I want to play something on it. Since it won't run Crysis 3 or Far Cry 4 I was thinking of an older game, like Crysis 1. In case it doesn't run or I don't like it what else do you recommend? I will play mostly campaign.
