  1. I had a feeling that it was when there wasn't power out of usb, thanks for your speedy reply I will try the CMOS reset and may take it to a repair shop to get it diagnosed and get replacement parts. Thanks again for your help
  2. At the start of this year I moved my of build to my university and it was damaged by a power surge. On startup the fans spin up to full speed without slowing, their is no display output and my keyboard, mouse and other Usb devices do not power. I have teststed my power supply in another pc and it seems to be undamaged and the status lights on my motherboard indicate damage to the CPU and Ram. I was wondering what I can do to test my parts to see what I need to replace and if it is worth taking my build to be diagnosed piece wise at a PC repair shop.
