IIf it's running through VGA, then no, you can't. VGA's maximum resolution support is 1600x900 I believe, so adding more frames (and by extension more bandwidth) won't be possible.
Well there's a rule to always buy the best card you can before ever thinking of going SLI. Not many game developpers optimize for SLI, and there's always added heat which can lead to throttling, etc.
It allows you to test an OS without installing it to your hard drive. You can have windows installed and start running Linux without windows being deleted or the disk being partitioned. No trace of Linux will be left on your system if you choose not to install it as well.
