    i have a deaf friend in vrchat who uses a speech to text mod and this is going to make it much harder for her. there are anticrashing mods that are useful when it comes to public servers and btw this doesnt solve the crashing avatars issue because those people are not using mods but people who use mods to combat it will be unable to now. also this will make using full body tracking much more annoying because vrc for some reason doesnt save the calibration data between avatars and sometimes even between worlds. there are a ton of other of QoL things that the vrc devs for some reason refuse to implement and they are angry at us for trying to fix their game.

    nah i think elon knows exactly what hes doing. you think he doesnt know that when he tweets about dogecoin the price will go up? i think its very likely that elon buys dogecoin and then sells it when the price goes up because of his tweets.

    not really legally sus. they just signaled that they are willing to fight the copyright claim in court if FMC doubles down because they think lofi girl is valuable enough. which is what is supposed to happen with copyright claims. people think dmca claims are between them and youtube no its between you and the company claiming your video. if you fight it in court and win and have your lawyers send youtube the court order youtube will reinstate your video

    i mean in this case youtube is also rejecting a dmca claim putting themselves at risk. so yes they do sometimes decide that its worth it to protect a valuable asset like lofi girl. but they are not going to do it for the millions of small channels when its not worth the cost

    yep that was on them but this and the majority of dmca claims are a different case. also if the person just started a company and filed as that company then youtube would still need to honor the claims

    if you fight it in court and win you can have your lawyers send youtube the court order. i know this is not viable for most people but youtube cannot chose to circumvent the legal system youtube is a big company but they are not bigger than all the music label companies and movie studios combined. and they cannot fight hundreds of thousands of copyright lawsuits. so youtube relies on the creator to fight the lawsuit and give them the court order after its done. the dispute is between the music label company and the creator not with youtube.

    very impressive and i can see where the programmer got the impression that its sentient. but some of laMDA's responses snap me out of the immersion. like the part where it starts talking about spending time with family. obviously it cant spend time with family so its a learned response. some of laMDA's responses are shockingly philosophical google did a good job with it

    afaik rtings use the ear microphone measuring which has its uses to see how much deviations in headphone placement affect the FR curve but overall an inferior and less accurate system than rigs like gras or B&K. if you want accurate measurements then you should look at sources like oratory1990, crinacle, ASR etc that have a proper measuring rig like linus is getting. and its always nice to be able to cross-compare data between different sources though as someone else mentioned most people use gras and linus using B&K affects how directly comparable their data is. and if by cable testing you mean measuring a signal through a cable thats not new at all ASR has been doing it for a while. also nobody says only one review/test of a CPU is enough so gamersnexus, jayztwocents etc should shut down because LTT exists and the same thing applies here for audio. and LTT as a bigger channel might be able to get access to stuff the other reviewers cant
