Still here, trying to be "impartial", friendo?
I mean, a lot has changed since yesterday, for instance:
    1) 2 ex-employees partially corroborated her story.

    2) We now know that a (extraordinary) HR meeting was held immediately after her departure.
Have you changed your opinion at all? Not judging, whatever, I'm just curious because we were talking about this yesterday.

can you link the other employee statements? i believe you I just want to update my friend who is also interested in this situation

It is XQC... I give it a 30% chance it is true, and a 70% chance he is referencing some other time something happened, or someone changed their name to Linus on twitter and messaged him and he was too dumb to notice.  I do not think Linus is dumb enough (especially considering his past interactions and statements about XQC) would vent to especially him, and especially knowing that XQC can't keep his mouth shut to save his life.

idk his responses have dramatically lowered my expectations of him. but yeah its xqc so who knows

It's entirely possible Madison had a bad (possibly civil law violating) experience with a manager or employees that may or may not still be there. But the more I look at this, there's basically no way she hasn't committed Defamation. She's saying a lot of people knew, no one was responding to complaints and that Linus, specifically, ignored the problem.  LMG has had a full HR department for a number of years, which means they have a full file on her time at the company.  She has also publicly confirmed to having serious mental health issues throughout the duration of her employment at LMG.  Everyone else at LMG, at the time, is likely to have a very different perspective on their interactions with her.  And, because she was on the social media side, LMG will have a lot of video of her interactions with people.

This isn't going to end well for anyone.

why is there 0 possibility that she is telling the truth and linus and other managers tried to brush everything under the rug?

Why do you assume this? Far as I know Canada has, and culturally too, strong human rights and workers rights that extend in to legislation and Criminal Code law.

Also you can seek help from advocacy groups who will likely connect you with a lawyer that will work on your case at no cost other than part of any settlement or fines that handed down. Legal advice is not out of reach or expensive, there are options.

Any work place Sexual Harassment could potentially fall under the Criminal Code, these allegations are serious and the police is not the only avenue to go down.

I would like to say everyone please try and be civil, even in the face of opinions you don't agree with. Hot heads and haste often leads to poor decisions. So try and put your best for forward, not your fastest.

idk she could have got legal advice and was told it's too he said she said without concrete recordings etc. also she probably would have gotten harassed if she files a lawsuit against LTT without telling people the context etc

  5. i mean much of the original video is just about inaccuracies in LTT videos so there isnt much to contact them about since its fact-based. the only thing i thought they should have asked LTT about is the billet lab situation and I thought i was right in that hunch when linus implied that it was already resolved in his statement. but lo and behold it turns out linus was being misleading at best and they didnt try to resolve it until the situation blew up so even in that case it turns out gn was right.

Corsair is acquiring Drop, an online retailer best known for its lineup of mechanical keyboards and keyboard accessories like keycaps. “Drop has been acquired by Corsair,” wrote Drop CEO Jef Holove in a post announcing the deal. Corsair’s press release specifies that the deal only includes “certain assets” from Drop, but Corsair spokesperson Harry Butler confirmed to The Verge that the deal includes “the Drop.com website, brand, business, community, and all its staff.”

“You’ll see new products from us soon that Corsair is just as excited about as we were in creating them. You’ll see new collabs with community favorites. Access to a world class supply chain will make getting you those products more reliable,” Holove said in his post.

    Quote

“We’ll be evaluating the non-keyboard aspects of [Drop’s] business as time goes on but will be making no changes immediately,” Butler said. Corsair’s press release adds that Drop will continue to handle “all existing warranties, purchases and customer support requests.” Exact financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

    My thoughts

I'm a bit concerned about this because even though they sort of serve different markets many of the products on drop are competitors to corsair. Also, corsair seems interested in moving into those markets, hence them purchasing drop. This would be sort of like if intel buys newegg or something. They say they will not make any immediate changes, but if I were a company selling my products on drop, I would start planning alternatives.

  7. tube amps under 1000 arent really worth it imo unless you can diy. im building a sangaku right now and its around 400 dollars of components but some of them are hard to find. another popular one is bottlehead crack though ive never heard it so i cant speak on it

  8. I have a rega planar 3 with I think a rb300 tone arm and bias 1 cartridge. I want to get a cartridge upgrade.

I refer a neutral to maybe slightly bright signature and what I want most out of this upgrade is more detail.

I've been considering the at33ptg/2. Also, someone suggested me to stretch my budget a bit to get the dynavector 10x5 mk2. But I'm a bit worried about the compliance since the tonearm is 11 grams and the calculators I've seen puts the dynavector slightly out of compliance. I'm also open to other suggestions for around 600 dollars.

    Thank you

Meh, I can't think of a single reason anyone would want to rely on a twitter poll for anything other than maybe proving an opinion is more popular than another opinion when we ignore facts.

a lot of streamers i watch use it for stuff like deciding the next game they play. ofc they can always post a strawpoll or something so its not the end of the world but its still dumb.

You know for all the weird moves and tantrums the guy causes he really sounds genuine in what he believes in. Last night (or I guess morning in US time) he hosted a Twitter spaces discussing open sourcing the algorithm, and he was answering questions from the audience. And you know what, he sounds really genuine - even tho I have absolutely no idea why he isn't able to see the obvious issues with his methods

idk he doesnt seem like a genuine person to me ever since the thai soccer team thing way back then where he threw a big tantrum when his "submarine" wasnt being used and tried to pit people on the rescue team against each other. and after i watched a documentary on that I agree with the divers that theres no way it would fit around the bend.

  10. this is a very contentious topic. the main measurement that the debate is centered around is sinad which is signal to noise + distortion. some say that sinad is pretty much the end all be all measurement and as long as an dac/amp has reached a certain sinad it sounds exactly the same as any other dac/amp that hit that number.

other people say sinad only tells you if a product is broken and there are differences between dacs/amps even with the same sinad.

im in sort of a middle ground because ive heard differences between dacs/amps with > 90 sinad that group A says should have no difference but ive also heard minimal / no difference between dac/amps that group B says should be a huge improvement. also in general i havent heard any huge improvements at least compared with changing headphones

  11. even if you need a headset theres the audeze maxwell. i didnt get to hear it at canjam but many people i trust said it sounded really good and it seems to measure well.

im not sure where to begin with this post. so you listened to one headset thats a gaming headset not really aimed at sound quality nonetheless and declared that all headphones under 5000 dollars are worse than 5 dollar earbuds. yeah im not sure about that one
