  1. Hi, I am a website developer and I am working on a site. Everytime the site is updated and I try to access it after the update the site will not display. What is worse is that somehow it affects the entire network including phones connected to the network via Wifi. The only solution to get it to display properly with updates is to dismiss it from the Firefox "top sites list" . Then load the site again. Clearing cache doesn't always do the trick. And what is weird is that you can see the changes to the website in the icon for it in Top Sites but it won't load without an error message and the message that it is trying to connect to the server where the site is hosted. This doesn't happen with any other websites that update including another site that I work on. To clear it from the network you have to do the ipconfig /flush dns and other cmd commands. I don't know why this is happening or how to prevent it. This issue affects all my browsers including Chrome and Microsoft Edge. Any help or thoughts would be appreciated. I'm attaching what I get when I update the site and then trying to load it before dismissing the "Top Sites"
  2. I think I've fixed it. Tried connecting the computer directly to the modem rebooted modem and computer. Then Windows shows connected to internet. Then connected modem to router, router to computer. Reboot both modem and router. Computer shows connected. Not exactly sure why other than Windows not recognizing the network from the router and now the network has been reconfigured with Windows. Thanks for everyone's help though.
  3. Yes. Multiple times. Have even reset the modem and router a few times.
  4. It seems to be the current one. I removed the network device in Device Manager that referred to my previous router. It seems there was a Windows Update of sorts on Tuesday as there is a System Restore point automatically created.
  5. Hi all, I installed a new router and now Windows 10 is showing a yellow exclamation mark in the system tray showing no internet. I've tried just about everything resetting DNS changing settings in the properties of the NIC. Driver is current. I do have internet access but can't find a fix to this error. The only thing I thought it was that it was due to having a previous Linksys connect program that setup my previous router and Windows is using a ghost network. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.
  6. My Acer Predator X34 just shipped today and I'm excited. Tempered with hoping for no defects as read about.
  7. For those interested. From posts on overclock.net. https://www.chiphell.com/thread-1523841-1-1.html (in chinese, use google translate) YouTube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CDO4DtNdGvM https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u2-p9HlJqUw The base is plastic and must be attached to panel.
  8. New images and un boxing of pg348q https://www.chiphell.com/thread-1523841-1-1.html https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u2-p9HlJqUw
  9. Far as I know just the pg348q. It turns out it may have some of the same issues as the x34 like overclocking to 100hz. Also It has been revealed that the base of the pg348q is plastic and you must attach it to the panel. The x34 is metal and comes pre-attached.
  10. $900 is pretty cheap. Are you sure that you are looking at the g-sync version. The free sync sounds about right for $900. G-sync is looking around $1200.
  11. I went with the ACER and am awaiting its arrival. There have been issues but ACER has fixed the 2 major ones. Who knows what issues ASUS has. Also was able to get the ACER for $1179 with $42 shipping from Provantage.com. I expect the ASUS to be more expensive and even harder to get.
  12. I'm sorry it was Joker Productions not sloppy. You can see the bottleneck.
  13. I would go for the i7. It has been shown recently even with Fallout 4 that more threads help immensely. Check out Sloppywetblow on YouTube for his video on FO4 bench marking that illustrates how much better the i7 does than his i5.
  14. Not true. I linked those forum threads on the Acer x34. I have been following them for 2 months now and was the reason I posted them for the OP. Yes I know it was recalled both for blue banding and the wake from sleep issue. I don't buy anything until I know everything about it. However it seems Acer has fixed the WFS and banding issues and the one outstanding issue is the scan line issue which some people have and some people don't. Seems to be a mixed bag between ACER and ASUS. The ASUS may just be a paper launch in Jan and who knows when we will get it. I've posted back to Metros who seems to have some contact with JJ but it's anybody's guess as to when it will actually arrive and for what price. If I don't get a good x34 on the first and or second try then I'll go for the ASUS. I've just been waiting and watching for so long I just want to finally buy one of these (Acer or ASUS). I've also followed the ROG pg279q and the ACER xb271hu and of those two would choose the ACER because of the better way Acer secures the panel there is less chance of backlight bleed over the Asus.
  15. The thing I'm counting on is using the Chrome widescreen fix extension/add on. TV's are getting so cheap I might buy one just for Netflix streaming.
  16. I'm going to go for the x34 because the panel is made by LG and not AUO who makes the xb271hu and expect a better quality panel from LG based on reviews. Also I'll be coming from a 27" 60hz 1920x1080p standard Viewsonic. I'm looking for a wow factor. Getting the same size would not be impressive to me even at a higher resolution. G-sync will help with lower frames and I've seen reviews where a 980ti does fine with most games at 3440x1440p which is still less than 4K and should be just a little harder to run than 2560x1440p. Remember we still do far better on the PC than the consoles with recent games such as Fallout 4 and Just Cause 3. I've been following these threads on Overclock.net for a while. http://www.overclock.net/t/1581181/acer-xb271hu-share-your-experience-and-show-pics http://www.overclock.net/t/1537403/tftcentral-acer-predator-xr341ck-34-curved-gaming-screen-with-g-sync/5910 http://www.overclock.net/t/1573121/acer-predator-x34-displays-show-your-images-or-experience-here/670 and the Acer forum http://community.acer.com/t5/Predator-Discussions/MULTIPLE-Problems-with-New-X34/td-p/390434/page/77 The one issue that has not been addressed by Acer on the X34 is the scan lines issue which seems to be directly linked to G-sync and or the g-sync module. It is possible to get a x34 without the scan lines so I'll just be hoping my monitor does not have them. I'd prefer to wait for Asus but it looks like a long time. Just read on reddit that the ROG pg348q may get just a paper launch in Jan. and who knows when it will actually ship and then you have to wait for user reviews to see what problems it may have. However if I have to RMA 2 X34's then I will have to wait for Asus to see what happens with it. https://www.reddit.com/r/ultrawidemasterrace/ I also use my computer for everything, don't own a TV.
  17. neither. acer predator x34 or asus pg348q
  18. They are available at Newegg and Amazon. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824009869 http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B016GNX4SE and the ACER store http://us-store.acer.com/predator-x34-bmiphz-34-inch-curved-monitor-with-g-sync
  19. did you also change it in Nvidia Control panel? what card are you using? apparently you need a gtx 960 or above for 165hz
  20. So when is it coming Metros? I need ASUS to be better priced. 1300 plus tax is just too much on these ultrawides.
  21. Acer x34 Predator apparently in stock at NewEgg every so often. However there is a potential unresolved issue with "scan lines" check overclock.net forums and acer predator community forums "multiple issues with acer x34" Also some units don't overclock to 100 hz without flicker. In those cases people are stuck with 95. ASUS PG348Q Not released yet. I've been waiting for this to come out as the X34 is just too high priced at 1300 USD and hoping for a price war. I hope ASUS says something before the end of Dec.
  22. BenQ XR3501 In stock now http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824014487
  23. So who is on the hook for these bad panels? Benq? AUO? Acer?, Asus? and what can be done about it.
  24. AUO was formed in September 2001 by the merger of Acer Display Technology, Inc. (the former of AUO, established in 1996) and Unipac Optoelectronics Corporation. In October 2006, AUO acquired Quanta Display Inc. AUO has thus been operating production lines of various generations, capable of offering TFT-LCD panels from small to large sizes. AUO was also the first pure TFT-LCD manufacturer to have been successfully listed at the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE). AUO extended its market to the green energy industry in 2008 to provide customers with high efficiency solar solutions. http://www.auo.com/?sn=135〈=en-US Glenwing is also right. http://www.benq.us/support/1404810412_14_1216.html
