  1. hey guys! so im trying to find a new laptop for my girlfriend. she is a youtuber and so she will need a laptop that can handle some light video editing. the budget is $800 (i can budge a little if its worth it). i dont know much about windows laptops because im a die hard mac user but i can't find a good mac laptop for her thats cheap enough. thanks guys!
  2. I'm wondering how it will work in a normal house setup. Well see if I win.
  3. the Drobo im getting has Thunderbolt out into an iMac or 2013 Mac Pro but i need to see the speed of the drives.

  5. Good Morning everyone, I'm the Production Director at a Church in South Florida, our previous PD would store the back up of all our sermons on HDD's and put them in a plastic bin when not being used. so thats going to change... I'm currently looking at getting a Drobo 5D (thunderbolt edition) to store all our sermons and our raw video files for editing. My Question What's the best HDD to use with our Drobo? (we want +2TB drives) Should we go HDD or SSD? If you have any recommendations for Drives or even Raid Arrays to use let me know!
  6. yes i know i can buy a VESA mount... i actually already have one. haha i found one at work that was bought for a different imac... i think im just going to invest in a new desk so i can mount it from the back of the desk and no in the grommet hole....
  7. anyone know of a good product?

  11. Good Morning everyone! At work I use a 27in iMac (30.5 LB) and an Asus PB238Q (18.5 LB). I want to put them on a monitor stand so I can get them off my desk. My Desk Setup My 27in iMac is caddy cornered in the corner with a desk grommet directly behind it. my PB238Q is to the right of it propped up on a box. My Dilemma I need to get a monitor stand that will go in the Grommet hole so my iMac can be centered on the hole and a monitor arm will extend out to the right to support my PB238Q. i don't need a third monitor arm because to my left is where i meet with clients so i will never put a monitor in front of their faces... lol *there is no place to clamp a stand behind my desk* My Question Does anyone have an recommendations for a good monitor stand that can mount my iMac on the main pole and only have one arm that can extend to the right? Thanks everyone! Jayme McColgan Graphic & Web Designer www.Jimmyp.co May you have fair winds, and following seas

  14. I use a 2012 iMac with an i7 and 16BG of ram to work on large photoshop and do some light after effects rendering. I was told that theres an external GPUS that will help with my rendering times. is this true? if not what do you recommend for me to help with overall performance and rendering times? Thanks guys!
