  1. Lubuntu and Xubuntu are also good suggestions, for speed. The best way to find a distro is to go to distrowatch and search for what you want in it
  2. Proprietary apps won't be there. Maybe you might find a way to get them in there, but if you just want to remove bloat, maybe you could root your tablet and try with something like Titanium Backup? If you don't need the proprietary stuff, CM all the way Xda-developers if you have any doubts, just search for your device. There isn't much on the Shield, but it shows how to root it, at least.
  3. I can attest to that. No problems, using CM 12.1. It's all nice and neat
  4. If you expect it to be, yes, it's boring. Can be fun if it is what you like. Don't think programming itself when talking about computer science. It is a lot more then that, and that's one the cool parts
  5. Like they said, it is a preview for a reason. Only use it if you know the risks and expect troubleshooting.
  6. Pretty simple. Since it's just a basic program, you should only need scanf for input and printf for output. Both of these are in stdio, but since you are new to this, have a look at these pages, should sort any doubts you have about parameters and format specifiers: printf http://www.cplusplus.com/reference/cstdio/printf/ precision should tell you how to output the way you want it. scanf http://www.cplusplus.com/reference/cstdio/scanf/
  7. I believe this should sort you out: http://www.instructables.com/id/How-to-CLEAN-Install-Windows-8-directly-from-Hard-/

  9. I'd go with just a single 980. More room to expand, less energy, less heat, more swag. Edit: It really depends on how much you expect from your hardware, and for how long. Both ways are good, and expensive.
  10. Both are good, but Rufus can't create persistent file sizes for storing changes, not since I last used it, at least. So I prefer Universal USB Installer.
  11. Seems like the AI predicts exactly where the ball is going to. Pretty easy to beat it, though, since it's a lot slower compared to your own actions. Looks nice.
  12. Wouldn't change a thing, really. Might make MS even more profit, or at least increase the market share. Most people I know that have Windows installed pirated it, so technically it was free for them (I have w8.1 pro from Dreamspark, so it was free for me, too). I know nobody who actually went and bought an actual copy of Windows since XP. Either piracy or use the already installed OS that comes with pre-builts (which has the price included and non-removable). As for ads, unlikely. I won't say impossible, but I wouldn't bet on it.
  13. More socks and a good night of sleep helps a ton.
