  1. I had two GPU's recently die unexpectedly, had no idea why and I just logged it to bad cards. But today when I was pulling one of the power cables out because I was going down to one card I found it extremely hard to take out and when I finally got it out I discovered three leads had melted to the inside of the connection. I assume this is very bad, do I have a dead PSU or did I just pull to much power from that connector. The PSU is a cosair AX860 pruchased two years ago and the card that was attached was a accelero cooler attached to a Asus GTX 780. Pictures attached below.
  2. That's kinda what I was thinking, we don't know exactly what Nvidia will be releasing or when.
  3. Yea, that's the first thing I checked, PSU is fine. I think it's because I did not support the cards and something near the PCIe ports broke, or at least that's the only theory that makes any sense to me right now.
  4. I have had both of my 780's die unexpectedly this weekend, and Asus is not gonna RMA them because I added aftermarket coolers to them. I am looking at upgrade options (980, 980ti, and the like), but I am wondering if it is worth it to wait until Pascal comes out to buy new cards and just use a cheap stopgap in the meantime. BasicallyI'm aksing if Pascal looks like it's going be enough of a performance increase to wait a few months instead of going ahead and buying a new card now.
  5. I'm looking for a good aftermarket cooler for this card ASUS GTX780-DC2OC-3GD5, at least one the fans has stopped working and the other one sounded like it was on the way out too, Asus wont replace them and I cant find any replacements for a reasonable price online. I've found these two options but I want to know if there is anything better out there, budgets about $90 and I want to stick to air or AIO for now. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835186068&cm_re=Accelero_Xtreme_III-_-35-186-068-_-Product http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835186095
  6. Congrats guys, I found Linus more than a year ago when I was building my first gaming computer and I was looking for somebody who would be able to explain all of the stuff that goes into building it and selecting parts, and even now i'm still watching videos and learning a little bit every time.
