1. I have a few different computers and they're never sync'd up to an external storage. Which makes it (currently) a pain in the arse when what I want isn't available to me on my computer. That's where thumb-drives come into play. One of my older systems is going to be decommissioned. It's an old Core2Duo which I could seriously turn into a storage system (perhaps as an interim) until I can afford a nice compact box to serve me better in this small apartment. It has always worked for me this way. I keep putting off the idea of "change".
