  1. Sometimes I get the feeling that I am the only one who wants a dual compartment atx case. Only one out there is the Corsair Carbide 540, but I dont like that it only has 2x 3,25" mounts. My usual config is 2HDD's, 2SSD's and a DVD/BR. The Lian Li D600 has what I am looking for, only the size of it is a problem for me. Just want a case where I have my rads, mobo and gpu on one side and the psu, resevoir, hard drives, dvd and others on the otherside. Edit: incorrectly called the Corsair Carbide 540 the Corsair Obsidian 540
  2. go to the start menu and type in %appdata% It is a hidden file.
  3. No, not really. But if someone didnt even do that, then the chance is great that they werent talking even basic care of their computer.
  4. hihi, yah i know. The 4170 doesnt do the chv honour. But when I was building my pc I had a limited budget. The CHV was actually on discount with the RAM where i got it so I spent like €80 on the mobo and €25 on the RAM. The 4170 had the best bang for buck with the bucks I had. But if you want a horror show, just look again at what my gpu is
  5. How well has he taken care of the PC? Had someone who tried to sell me a comp but failed to keep it clean or install an anit-virus. Was eventually able to knock off €200 because of that
  6. I have an illuminated keyboard that is connected with my pc with a usb cable. On my old computer when I turned off my PC, the power to the keyboard would be cut, but on my new rig it wont and the keyboard stays on. Does anybody know how I can make it so that my keyboard turns off when I turn my comp off? It isnt a super big deal for me, I have an I/O switch on my keyboard, but alot of the time I turn my comp off and leave without noticing the keyboard is still on. So basicly I would like to be more lazy Comp specs down below
  7. okay, something weird. I usually got warnings every 15 minutes, but I removed AI Suite as WastedSpaceman said, and havent had a single warning yet. I think that cloning my harddrive made AI Suite more broken than it was first. But should I still do a CLR CMOS???
  8. Thank goodness I have only used AI Suite to set the CPU fan speed I have only overclocked my cpu once and that was from within the bios, but I reverted it back to standard because I had no practical use for the overclock (was just fun to do). For the rest of the monitoring I just use Speccy and C-/GPU-Z. Provide more information that I actually need. But I'll uninstall it.
  9. Why is AI Suite bad??? I know the temp readings are off by about 10 degrees, but what else is wrong with it??? And just need to find a spare USB for the bios. Would resetting the to factory from within the bios itself not be the same? (I'll do the CMOS, but just wondering what the difference is.)

  11. The NZXT H440 is nearing what I need, but I am going to be really OCD when it comes to dust. I really want total isolation of everything that is going to use a fan so no dust gets in. Dust filters are okay, but only for the fanned parts.
  12. Hi, I want to make a new gaming rig sometime in the near futur, but I have some requirments that I am finding hard to meet. The case I want to build is going to be water cooled, but I want it to go further than just that. What I want: -A case with a window (who doesnt like looking at their precious) -I want two compartments: one for MB and GPU (enough for the big ones) (we will call this the MB Case) and another for the rest (HDD's/SDD's, PSU, pumps and everything that doesnt need to be on the MB) (we will call this the Rest case) - the MB Case must be closed off from the outside world (I will be cooling the MB, RAM, GPU and CPU with water) so no dust can get in. Holes for cables and tubes are allowed if they have bristles. - the Rest Case needs room for a 4x120mm water cooler or equivelant - at least 2 USB ports (with preferance for 3.0) on the front and a restart button would be awesome (for when I do OC tests) and an Audio out jack port I would prefer a black case as I am going with a ROG MB and I like simple cases with not to much flare. Also a cube case where the MB Case is on top with the window also on top would be nice, as it will be next to my desk, but just slightly lower (I have an extra table for it) Anybody know of anything?
  13. the drivers are in order, that is for sure. Also, not asked but just some extra info, I did check all my connections on the mb just to be sure. I'll give the CMOS a try when I have time. It may be a bit newbie, so forgive me, but what should I expect to happen when I do a CLR CMOS???
  14. Hi people, Recently I have been getting random warnings from my system of things being out of whack. They are for my CPU, NB and SB. They vary from too much/little voltage or too high/low temp. It has warned me, for example, that my CPU was -136 C, so.... A photo of one of the warnings I got is attached below. Some specs: MB: Crosshair V Formula CPU: AMD FX-4170 OS: Win 7 64x I think it may be related to me cloning my OS disk to a new disk, but it isnt the first time I have gotten it. I cloned it because I had to reinstall my OS before and all the hassel of reconnecting all my programs just didnt feel like it was worth it. Does anybody know of a quick fix for this problem??? My thanks in advance.
