Not New False. Only Clovertrail, which intel is refusing to support, is being left behind. It's now on the hardware vendor to supply drivers to Microsoft. If Intel says a chipset is EOL and refuses to write drivers, support has ended on Windows 10.

AMD '#Rekt son' reply to Intel's "four glued together" statement
Kherm replied to JohnnyCorporalTech's topic in Tech News
Oh, Of course. It didn't even cross my mind that Intel was trying to portray Microsoft as an exclusive partner. Which is, of course, completely absurd. -
AMD '#Rekt son' reply to Intel's "four glued together" statement
Kherm replied to JohnnyCorporalTech's topic in Tech News
While I am certainly siding with AMD on this one -intel is digging a hole here- how is Microsoft misleading? Even AMD lists Ms as a partner three separate times with Windows Server, Visual Studio, and one again under "momentum across the industry" -
They did this because OneDrive placeholders, coming with the Fall creators update, requires NTFS. I was pissed off at first because my OneDrive is on my microSD card, but i simply reformatted it.

It always seems that Google does nothing wrong. They make money by selling your activity to advertisers. Microsoft isn't even in the ad business anymore. Seriously, If you use google maps, they know where you live and work. If you use Chrome, like I do, they track every website you visit. If you use gmail, they scrape your emails. If you use Android, like I do, then you have 0 privacy. If you somehow manage to avoid all of Google's services, Every other online company tracks your presence online How do you think Apple gets traffic data? It's doesn't appear out of thin air How are Twitter and Facebook kept as free sites? Guess. "You are a walking product that every company on Earth is trying to track...get over it or get off the Internet." Microsoft is no exception.

This is SO MUCH BETTER than what google shares. If you use google.com, you have no privacy.

Windows S can run anything from the Windows store......Except Linux
Kherm replied to Misanthrope's topic in Tech News
Hold on, have reasoning for this. Windows 10 S is supposed to be the simple and secure version of windows 10 (S does not stand for School) it just happens to be that simple and secure are very important for education. A developer feature like WSL (Windows Subsystem for Linux) feels like a bit of a "Pro" feature, doesn't it? If you do more intense workloads like using Visual Studio or WSL, then Microsoft is clearly saying that you are a 'pro' and should use Windows 10 Pro. With that being said, Windows 10 S should run anything from the Windows Store. Windows 10 S should be seen as a balance between Chromebook, which is a browser, and Windows 10 Pro, which is a power user's OS -
Are you running Windows 7? Did you install your USB 3.0 drivers?

Windows 10S Wallpaper for me right now. Plus a few oddities on the icons side No, on Windows 10 version 1703 there is an option to show just the tiles. If you want no tiles, you have to remove them manually. Here's an example:

This is unreal. Windows XP/8/Server 2003 are all officially unsupported. Microsoft wasn't even legally obligated to support those OSes anymore. They patched them (for un-paying users) because Microsoft was trying to avoid a global catastrophe The biggest flaw in your argument? Microsoft supports Windows XP actively for people who pay for extended out of warranty support. Of course they patched it in March, but only for paying out-of-warranty subscribers. All of those hospitals and airports and businesses who were affected and running XP weren't paying for crucial security updates. That's borderline criminal. Microsoft should be applauded for releasing this patch for non-paying Windows XP users.

Ya know, this is the first complaint I've heard about the creators update, so MS is on a roll. I would recommend "refreshing" Windows by going to start > Settings > Update & Security > Recovery > Reset This PC (Get Started) and click "keep my files" This will remove all your programs and reinstall Windows, but it will keep all your files right where you left them. I would do what the person above me said first though

HERE'S AN UPDATE Apparently, it wasn't a keylogger at all. It's actually a debugging tool that mistakenly made it's way onto production machines. The best part? It's already been fixed Source: https://www.thurrott.com/windows/windows-10/115965/hp-keylogger-mistake-already-fixed I think we overreacted
