Nice build! Except for that PSU. I'd replace that ASAP.

Not much to add here to all the great suggestions. One thing I also want to add that I didn't happen to see is maybe get an exhaust fan in the top or rear to get some airflow over the mobo and VRMs. While your overclock doesn't sound very aggressive(you didn't say voltages) it's still an overclock and the VRMs will thank you for a little airflow.

I would like to point out that your GPU is sagging like hell...
But other than that, the build is pretty neat.. (way better than my first build... *me not knowing that cable management exists)

NotSoEpicMods got a reaction from GamerBlake in Is it weird to use console controllers for PC games?
I would say really depends on the game. I like controllers for casual racing games and fps. Sometimes I'll use it on an rpg if it's supported.

If the switches are removable and it was the keyboard base that was what did it for you and nothing else did if your pockets are deep enough you can order a few keys of various types and swap them in till you find some you like and get a whole set of those.  Won’t be cheap.  @NotSoEpicMods might very well have the best solution.  Repetitive buy and return till you get keys you like.

NAND actually prefers running warm, cooler is better rule only works with the controller.
    https://www.eeweb.com/profile/eli-tiomkin/articles/industrial-temperature-and-nand-flash-in-ssd-products
basically, low temperature for NAND is better for retaining data, but warm is better for write and erase. Just so happens that NAND flash gets warm during write and erase, but not when holding data or read.

omg,  i think i figured out the issue....   MSI Dragon center was set to silent mode and was limiting CPU to 2.8Ghz   I set to performance it bumped up to 4.2 and now stream is fine

Remove the other two drives, just to be sure. You don't want them to be connected anyway, because Windows has a bad habit of throwing boot sectors on drives that has no business with.

I think you'd be pretty safe. Just try not to stick it directly onto a hard drive especially while it is in operation. Interestingly this reminds me of a video I once saw and the same person made an updated one with more modern hardware.

NotSoEpicMods got a reaction from Ben17 in 5000$ Custom Loop water cooled PC
Ok, I don't know why you're getting so bent out of shape about his title so let me play defender a little here. First off, I only see the price once in his title and once in his signature with a share link to this thread and by the nature of the forms once again in the share link. Next, who knows if he's including the price of the entire setup not just the tower. In which case yes maybe they should added "Setup" in their title and took pictures of everything.

Also, not everyone has access to the absolute lowest prices that are listed on pcpartpicker. What if they live in a country where they charge an obscene amount for pc parts compared to the US prices? For example, the 9900k is apparently $780 in Australia according to this: https://www.shopbot.com.au/pp-intel-core-i9-9900k-price-557526.html I myself ended up paying $719cad for my 9900k. Yea I could've gotten it a bit cheaper but I wanted to get it and the motherboard from a physical store.

With my own main rig tipping the scales at nearly $8k for the whole setup I certainly believe that they could've paid $5000 for the tower alone even though neither my system or theirs may not look like it to some.

At any rate we should just be happy and enjoy the time and effort that @jakeslayer9091 put into building this system even if they post the price in the title. Besides "5000$ Custom Loop water cooled PC" catches more attention than "I built a watercooled pc".

NotSoEpicMods got a reaction from Statik in PC case fans.
Simply just adding fans may not help cooling performance at all. It can greatly depend on the design of the case. It would really help to know what kind of case you have and what sort of budget you have for fans and how many you want to add.

NotSoEpicMods reacted to TheBahrbarian in what are the best Corsair RGB Fans
Yeah idk personally I just found it very un-intuitive, especially for software coming from a company as big as Corsair. It just feels like an old program, and there are definitely better/cleaner looking rgb programs out there. But I will agree the program seems to have a ton of capability as far as customization, I just can't figure out how to really use it and don't have the time to put into learning it right now.

NotSoEpicMods reacted to Jurrunio in RAM frequency
Serious software reports I/O bus clock, and DDR memory has doubled data rate to I/O bus clock so 1600MHz I.O bus clock means 3200MHz data rate.

Servers do run DDR4 as low as 1600, though that's back when it's first released.

You know what? Single channel and dual channel will show the same frequency in CPU-Z. This is just wrong.

NotSoEpicMods got a reaction from TempestCatto in Best 3 fan aio?
Maybe the H150i PRO? Honestly this almost sounds like a perfect chance to delve into custom water cooling with corsair's hydrox series so if it's something you're interested in you could start off by just doing the cpu and leave the gpu. But if you don't want to get into that cus of loop maintenance and stuff I think the H150i PRO is the only triple aio from them.

What is acceptable is defined by the business. So as long as it falls within their SLA it is fine. Just for us consumers it feels like it takes too long.

NotSoEpicMods reacted to Kisai in What is an acceptable ticket response time?
    Depends on three things:
    1. Time of day, if you sent the ticket at 5pm on a friday, you should not expect a response before three business days. The "three business day" type of turn around is typical.
    2. Ticket caseload, if you're trying to do a ticket for (thing) and that (thing) is a bit of a lemon, there might be a special pre-handling of the tickets for that (thing), like a legal "Do not alter this email" type of thing.
    3. Your tone. It's very well known that customers who give a veneer of impatience, end up waiting longer. Customer service people are people to, and they don't want to deal with people who sound like they're having a bad day because then they're having a bad day too.

Now, if you're calling, by phone, and was disconnected, that tells me you tried to call outside business hours. A lot of phone IVR systems will drop new incoming calls when the queue is closed, and only people still in the queue at closing time may get answered, but when I worked at AT&T Wireless, the system maintenance also happened at exactly the same time the queues closed, so if you called in and got an answer at 1 minute after the queue closed, the system wouldn't even let you verify the person on the phone. "Sorry, come back tomorrow when we're open, there's absolutely nothing I can do." Also conveniently, nobody wanted to take the last calls near queue-closing time because they would miss the bus if they did.

You should remove the top 2/3 brackets and insert the card at an angle, the brackets on the card shouldn't prevent it from going in. Use the top slot on the mobo.
