Well the whole reason I switched to water cooling is that I didn't have to hear my pc anymore. Getting more into using my speakers and like not hearing the hovercraft next to me. These are only the 2k fans. I keep every thing pegged around 45-50% and don't hear much. Ill crap them up and see if it helps at all.

.5 didn't work for me. Id get 2 or 1.5mm at a minimum. If you are replacing the old one on the cooler it came with. As in not for an ek block or something like that.

I always prefer 2 cards. As games need more and more and screens get wider or using multiple, one card won't cut it. Won't benefit with rendering having more cards. Not most programs anyway.

Card will depend on the res you play at. 1440 or higher I would use a 980ti or equivalent. Anything less then 1440 a 980 or lower will work. But that depends on how many frames u prefer and if you would want a card that can perform better in rendering.

I tried it, temps were pretty good and install was easy. Even bought a new h100i to slap on it. Couldn't fit it in my case well as the tubing was very ridged and ended up breaking a standoff and cause me to over heat. After that I gave up on aio's and ordered everything for a custom loop. Temps are much better and easier to deal with over all, kinda.

Card went from 65-70c to 50-50c. Great improvement. But I wanted more. So custom loop got me down to 40-43c. All fans and pump are at 50%. Aio couldn't do that.
That hg10 bracket was on fire too, I forgot how hot vram got which was another reason I wanted to go custom.

It will get you better temps and cheaper then aio. Just make sure its gonna fit and don't expect too much.

All of them don't need to be in the primary card, it may help stuttering according to some peoples experience. So like everyone said, install them, add bridge and configure surround in Nvidia control panel.

    3 monitors at 1080p on;
    Medium settings: Yes
    High setting: Yes
    Ultra: No

    I use a GTX960 and I run 3 monitor 1080p on high on most games I have.
I can get medium/high sometimes high, single screen ultra I can get as well.
It is a hit an miss for you with that 970.

Always replace the paste. Cheap and easy to do. Air bubbles get trapped in the paste once removed and can cause even more cooling issues.

Between those two cases, I would choose the 540. That other one looks horrible. I got mine for $99 from micro center. I guess you can call it over priced but I would have paid double for that case. It would still be the cheapest part of my build, so you get what you pay for.

Depends on the brand. My 120's work better at an almost inaudible 1000 rpm compared to a pair of maxed out 140's. But im comparing noctua to corsair.

With one card I could use the stock fans in my 540. Now that I run sli I had to upgrade to noctua's. Its nice to play games and keep lower fan speeds and still not have my cards over 60-65 degrees.

Don't see why that 780 wont get you 60+ on high. I guess there's a big difference between running one 1440 compared to 3 1080's.

I would get what ever the better deal is first, based on a few things.

How easy it will be to get a 780 that matches your original, cooling, specs and new/used or what ever.

What the price and availability of the 1440 monitor you wonna get.

If there is a sale going on or you can get either for a great deal at the moment.

Yea, just focus on the big picture. You will have both at some point right? Just get what you can, when you can.

You should prolly make a video. Make sure it says what cpu you are running in the board along with te exact bios version. Might help with the type of answer you're lookong for. Or we all can just assume.

If you have more pci power cables use them. Or use the splitter method and benchmark to see if it holds up.

1.1, Check if you see the screen appear in the "Screen resolution" settings. You'll probably need to enable it. It's not just gonna activate it self.
And if it's not showing up, you probably need to enable your iGPU in Bios.

I used to run both of my cards @ 100%, now I put them around 80-85 as my cards can barley get to 65 degrees. Most people upgrade before the card has a chance to die.

I have only used asus tuf boards. I like all of them. No issues. Not sure where you are that this board would be exspensive. I'm sure it's well worth the money if you use its features.
