Mick Naughty got a reaction from Eddie Current in Is RAM cooling worth it?
Mine was hot to the touch like a gpu, I mine is under water now. No reason for it to be the hottest thing in my case. It was like having an amd card in there doing hair dryer stuff to all my components.

Mick Naughty got a reaction from Dark in Cpu bottlenecking
My old 4790k @ 4.7ghz sits at 90-95% usage in bf1 on ultra. 1440@144hz and a 1080sc.
Sure as hell ain't getting 144 frames but it does it's best. See high 130's.
Gonna see how it handles bf4 and hardline this weekend. Only games I really play though.

Mick Naughty got a reaction from App4that in Cpu bottlenecking
People tend to be more concerned with the frames dropping for some reason as opposed to the real issue.
Even with my cpu pegged at 100% frames nor clock speed moved. It was laggy. Simple as that. Also when frame time goes from 4-5 to 12-14 that's the real issue. I don't car if I get 60 frames as long ask the time is low and no lag.

The igpu would mean you have the monitor plugged in to the mother board and your CPU supports graphics.

Mick Naughty got a reaction from Psittac in The Water Cooling Gallery
I only have 4 clamps. Everything else is zip tied on both rigs.

Mick Naughty got a reaction from Psittac in Thought's on mounting pump?
I completely agree about spending more money. Seems like putting it in the basement is the best option. Flipping the rad would just make the draining easier and cleaner if it can all fit.
thats how one of my rigs used to be.

Mick Naughty got a reaction from Dutch-stoner in No signal from GPU to monitor. Urgent fix needed.
Like stated, why is the system crashing?
prolly gonna be the biggest clue.

Mick Naughty got a reaction from Yaqshan in All the Risks of Liquid Cooling
Aren't many risks. All of my hardware would benifit which is why I do it.
Have had plenty of leaks and have had zero damage. It's just water. Not like it's gonna sit in it to the point of rusting.

Mick Naughty got a reaction from App4that in Gtx980 TI temps going strange
Nothing to do with bf1. Having a similar issue. If I surround my monitors on my old 7 series cards the memory stay at its highest speed. Cards idle at 60c.
My 1080 is sitting at 1708 on the gpu and 5005 on the memory on a single 1440 144hz monitor. Its under water so it doesn't get hot but idles at 34.
Assuming its a driver issue but I haven't tried one that will make it stop.

Mick Naughty got a reaction from ARikozuM in Does anyone have a gtx 1080 air vs watercool comparison?
My evga sc sees about 43c max but I don't turn the fans up on my rads in that rig.
Never ran it on air. My strix seen about 70c or high 60's with the fans on 70%. Never put it on water.
Both were in the same case.

Chicken noodle soup for the gpu's soul.
If anyone actually remembers that series.

Mick Naughty got a reaction from Tweed in 4-pin issue Help
Nothing wrong with splitters. You can get the swift tech or one like it. Power and control all the fans off a single header.

Mick Naughty got a reaction from App4that in SLI reasons
Are you on windows 7 or 10?
I had the same kinda issues with my 1440 and 1080 screens.
Changed windows appearance to the best appearence option. When you change something it going from a default setting such as windows basic and causes me the same issues you spoke of.
I never disable sli for games that don't support it. Runs the same for me as leaving it off. It may be that way because the games do support it but the driver just needed to be updated.

I have a fab hub from swift tech. And I have noctua splitters. They are all the same really.

Mick Naughty got a reaction from i_build_nanosuits in Is A 750W PSU Good Enough For 2 Titan X Pascals?
I draw over 800 with 2 cards. Not taking the chance on some 850 corsair blow dryer. Most just talk because they parrot whats on a video. Also its about the efficiency rating at certain use, not how many watts it has.

Mick Naughty got a reaction from Crosseyed Sniper in CPU Fan Error On Boot AFTER Installing New CPU Cooler
That^. Gotta set the bios to ignore or lower the minimum rpm if applicable.

Mick Naughty got a reaction from Eddie Current in Another pump needed or not.
Really don't know why you want so many rads. Kinda seems pointless for the amount of hardware. I wouldn't get another pump myself. Ive ran quite a bit off one pump.

Mick Naughty reacted to Eddie Current in RAM Cooling with RAM-33 Water Blocks
After several attempts I finely go the last one done and yes I know I missing one of my barb (misplaced). I'm hoping to get this into my loop this weekend. Some of the pieces at the bottom of the picture are my failed attempts. Drilling Acrylic with off the shelf drill bits may not be ideal.

Get the ftw. Way better then msi in all aspects. Msi has stepped their game up but I will always put them at the same level as zotac and pny.

Mick Naughty got a reaction from Energycore in Duel 1060 or other?
He didn't get fucked. You just have to know how to read and comprehend. We all enjoy a good graphic card fight though.

Mick Naughty got a reaction from i_build_nanosuits in Wait for 1080ti or get another 1080
Haven't seen more then a couple frames myself or in any graphs.
