Mick Naughty got a reaction from Kierax in Using Noctua fans as GPU fans on the stock 1080 heatsink?
Connect them to the mobo and use speedfan
or get a powered 3 way splitter. Use the adapter on the cards fan controller as reference. Then plug the other fans in and they will be controlled by the gpu.

Most soft tube kits I’ve seen have 3 meters or 10 feet or so.
More than enough for a system.
Would stick to that, as the price is fair.
Also if the case can fit it, I’d add another rad. Assuming the hardware you wonna cool and if you’d like lower temps as well as less noise.
Mick Naughty got a reaction from Bombastinator in Intel I7 3770K
Well it’s gonna be limited no mater what. So it shouldn’t matter which you get.
Assuming you mean cooling being a factor putting it in this section.
Stock cooler is more than enough for it.
It’s ok for gaming if you aren’t exceeding its expectations.
Had mine overclocked at 4.5 but the games I played were cpu intensive so it could barley get buy given how these new games are

Cant you put one in the top too?
Id do one bottom and top, keep the front as fresh intake and get the distro plate.
Mick Naughty got a reaction from Vishera in Gpu usage 1% Cpu 100%
You would need to be in safe mode to disable and uninstall that stuff. Good time to get rid of everything you don’t use.
As well as not having anything run after booting. Aside from programs you actually need right away or game launchers so they stay up to date.
A clean os install could be quicker I think but idk if they gave you a copy of the serial for windows and if you have another drive in which your games are on.
Mick Naughty got a reaction from Otto_iii in Upgrading from 4790k to either Ryzen 2700x or 3700x
I have both, both haven’t been able to keep up in years. Waste of time and money. But I would tell them to do it. Then when they finally realize, it will be a lesson learned.
Mick Naughty got a reaction from Tristerin in Thermal Grizzly Conductonaut Liquid Worth it?
I loved it. I wanted to try it and being a somewhat of a cooling enthusiast, it was well worth it.
If there isn’t a purpose or a goal I wouldn’t. I just do it to try everything once and to speak from experience and not parrot YouTube videos.
Mick Naughty got a reaction from Ben17 in Advice Needed: 2080 Super for 1080p Gaming
I’d say it’s above 1080 right now but give it time.
id still prefer to use a 1080ti for 1080p.
So if I needed rt and a better card that would be the choice.
As far as bottle neck goes, depends on the rig. Most of the time I experience it, the cpu is maxed out and I have to deal with stuttering. Which makes it unplayable being FPS games. I try to avoid it for that reason alone. Then adding the FPS cap does the same thing. But with a stronger card you may not notice.
Only reasons I got an 8700k and it barely handles a midrange card.

Finally gonna sign up for something. Guess PIA is the go to? Heard something recently about someone be acquired and things may be changing.
Wondering what companies you all use and how you set it up to a specific device.
But I see most offer support for several devices. So I figured I’d add everything currently connecting to my router. But my main concern is my laptop.

I’ll have to check it out once I get on a pc at home.
Trying to read it all on the phone is hard. But got a lot of info I need to pick one.
P2P is priority. Don’t care about all the other perks. So I guess I’ll use the pros of a company that suite that use best.
Mick Naughty got a reaction from Lexi Delphi in Is a quad monitor stand worth it?
Its well worth it but unless you do something to brace it, the table will struggle to hold it.
Well worth it to have though. I had one but only supported 24", or so it said. Was a blast to play on.
But have a sturdy desk. Ive used the standard flat base and the clamp style. Wanting to try it with drilling a hole and mounting it that way for more room for the keyboard.
Mick Naughty got a reaction from Keiran1983 in 1080p (175 MHz refresh rate) gaming
Wish I could afford to make a new rig to keep up with a card for my 1080p monitor. Being able to play a game at 180-200 frames was quite nice compared to a 120hz monitor. Pretty much how the game was meant to be played. No anticipating the lack of frames and unable to properly track opponents. The smoothness was nice as well.
Id get the card or a regular 2080 at a minimum.
Mick Naughty got a reaction from Nabin in Which Monitor Should I Get ?
Well you can compare all the models on Newegg. And narrow down by the specs.
Would have to go by reviews or price next.
Really like this acer monitor for 200 bucks. Can’t complain as it replaced on if their first gaming monitors.
Way better than 120 or 144.
Mick Naughty got a reaction from Kilrah in Why can I not achieve a constant 144 fps in Destiny 2 despite having no bottlenecks?
First I would benchmark to ensure the gpu can indeed hit 100%.
Could be something else holding it back in games.
The game optimization itself.
Drivers, ram, could be a lot of factors.
Mick Naughty got a reaction from Mark Kaine in Help solve global warming with v-sync/g-sync/freesync
Boomers should have lowered the frame rate on pong. This is all their fault after all.
