Mick Naughty got a reaction from IPD in is graphic card enough for 144hz?
Any of it is good for the hz. Nothing to do with the fps.

Mick Naughty got a reaction from sandronejm in Gpu support is worth?
People should buy water blocks and multiple cards and link them together. Best support you can ask for.

Stop mining in windows and see how it acts.

The evga cooler on the same card works. Or just getting another aio to replace it.

I'd just use the lower one. Wouldnt invest too much into it. Wont matter that much.

Like I said, aslong as there arent any limitations, you can use what ever pci slots you want. And on my cases, the pump res is above my psu's as well. But if you are using the side for fans instead of room to use a distroplate, you'll be passing through the hoses thought the grommets if not doing custom passthroughs.

Either case is gonna be about the same. Only factor being if theres any pci limitations. As you could put the cards in the 2 most upper slots and have plenty of room for a thicker rad on the bottom.

Id get a pair of alphacool 60mm rads for the top and botttom. Or triple 45 thick depending on how you'd prefer the airflow.
Not sure how cool it can get as that all plays into the blocks (do those cards have a full block available?) rad(s) and fans/speed.
I assume you wont be running the cards at full power while mining anyway, Can be alot quieter than running them on air.

Dont think nvidia stopped support for sli. Or else they wouldnt have put the interface on the card. Its the devs concern at that point.

So youre expecting that pump to actually move the metal at a sufficient rate and last any amount of time?

I do it on all of my builds for a decade. Cant say Ive seen any issues with performance or temps. They are designed for that exact reason, so might as well use them. Should be better for such a new gen igpu.

Still using a 4770k, isnt good for much but I guess what all you want to do.
I use it for BF4, which it barely handles a 1060 on it. But ok if you dont mind using frame caps.

Mick Naughty got a reaction from thrasher_565 in Looking for Best fans, how are these for a cross between silence and power?
Prefer noctua industrial 2k variants. But black chromax wasn’t an option when building mine.
For my cheaper rig I got Arctic 5 pack of 120 and 140. I stick to rgb stripes instead of dealing with rgb fan performance and wiring but I know some are actually good now.
    Id get the rgb vardar.

Can you wait? Do you want to? Id get something better than my 1060 if my cpu could handle it. I prefer to enjoy stuff while I can. If my card can do it now while I wait, then so be it.

Mick Naughty got a reaction from da na in Suddenly my GPU usage has skyrocketed without a known cause
So the system is already imbalanced if its only at 50 gaming. What are you using to check usage? If its task manager, look at the specifically to see what's being used and what's using it.

If you are playing games that support it and they dont need driver updates, it will work the same way it would when it came out.

Dont seen an issue spending that much. Cheapest one I've ever got was prolly $170usd, and that will never happen again. As long as it has the proper features im after if money well spent.

Run it at 144hz then? Dont see an issue as the card isnt gonna do well in games anyway.

I always do two. Unless its a serious single like a 480 or 420-560.
