Not a good analogy. Not in the same class if it cant compete stock for stock. Some dont know how to turn a wrench, so modding a car isnt always viable.
Same with flashing a bios. Id rather have a tried and true muscle car than a problematic euro car that cant keep timing chains together and horrible direct injection.

Doesnt need to bring anything to the market if its needed/wanted. Which clearly it is, like anything new nowadays. Doesn't have to be good, just needs to be there. So even if it costs less, it wouldn't be worth it because it doesn't bring anything to the market? Is that now the argument. What it brings compared to the price? Which seems to be all subjective.

Mick Naughty got a reaction from Blai5e in What kind of fitting do i need for this build
That or just have the lower tube have an extra bend or fitting in it to make it go to the next hole.

Get a console if you can’t afford it.
It’s just like anything else that has a market.

Mick Naughty got a reaction from frozensun in thermal pads of a nvme MoBo heatsink
Mainly because they are smaller and see way more heat overall.
And not all companies source the same crap pad for their card as they do a motherboard.
And most people dont know how to take things apart and when they do the pads tend to be old and dried up.

I use a stream deck for voicemod, workd out pretty well in that regard. Infinite buttons and pretty good integration for the app.

Yea you should expect that. If you want to drag programs playing video between monitors and it be seamless, you should daisy chain via DisplayPort. Everything will have some sort of drawback.
Dragging stuff and a slight stutter shouldnt really matter, not like it will actually affect anything. Same with the video, if you prioritize having more monitors with multiple devices compared to doing it with one.

That would be anything, as long as limiting air to the primary card is fine. A 550/ti can do that or any other $20 card off ebay if its just gonna drive a monitor.

Not a fan of those no name china boards. Seen they have driver issues as only so much is directly supported.
But that cpu will be a good match for that gpu. Should be a balanced system.

Mick Naughty got a reaction from fonzz1e in What fitting & soft tube size to get? 12/16?
If that's how they are labeled for you over there, then sure. But you need to verify it's for soft tuning. They can't and won't work both ways. There are 90 compression fittings. Just normally cost more than just getting a 90 and another fitting.
Could just get barb fittings that match the inner diameter of the hose. Cheaper and can look better as compression fittings are't needed.

Mick Naughty got a reaction from freeagent in Who makes better quality motherboards for price? ASUS ROG or GIGABYTE Aorus
I only buy asus. Older stuff looked the best and worlds apart in features.
Recent stuff has a horrible interface and dealing with the crate software.
But I prefer a good layout, specific color boards and water block options. Only other brand I would get would be evga.

You dont have to wait to start a claim. Since you cant contact them, it would be a clear indicator and they can start getting your money back already.

Its safe as it isnt gonna hurt you, if thats what you mean. If you wonna buy a dead card, what the seller says wont matter. Results will most likely be the same.

Wouldnt even consider it close to overkill for any res thats logical.
I use a 3090 for 1080p. Only way to get good frames in cod and 2042. Does ok on 1440 on an older cod.

It’s gonna be same regardless. It’s just a cable. The same way it is on 90% of cables today.
You aren’t using every plug on your sata and perf cables right?

If you can set it higher than its rating and it actually runs, thats on you to test it for stability.
We cant tell you where that is. Its gonna need voltage and timing to do anything, not gonna see much perfomance overall given the cpu.

Mick Naughty got a reaction from Slave2school in Why does Intel make new sockets every time a new CPU lineup comes out?
Wouldnt want an old board with limited features and a new cpu.
They wouldnt work, so it would just be dumb. My very limited power board isnt gonna handle a new gen cpu, especially the rate at which they are going.
A nice old board with an cpu and still stuck on ddr5 when that becomes years old.
Same with nvme coming out, makes the best for everything than holding on to old tech just to partly support one new piece.

If you dont mind 40 frames on 1080, its still an ok card. I wouldnt even use a 1080ti on 1080p on the last 4 cods. Frames are just too low for me.

When using 140mm I tend to get ek's rads. Alphacool would be a close tie. Depends on the routing I need and how they match the case. Bother offer low fpi and are great for noise.

Mick Naughty got a reaction from Hi P in What's the purpose of small form factor (SFF) builds?
I'd rather move a sff build than any of my pc's. Way too impractical. Wouldnt want one as a main build given how much you have to sacrifice. But would make a great work or media pc for me.
