  1. If you’re happy with what it can do, no reason you can’t get by another year. depends on the wants/needs.
  2. It will have as much of a performance effect as using it to game. A million what if scenarios. In most cases people are gonna be told that it wasn’t used for mining.
  3. I’d get the fe. Looks much better than the horrid parter cards. Which is a main factor for me. Not into chasing 5 fps claimed from going with another version. So for other work it won’t be much of an issue either. Do a lot of editing with mine. I’ve ran two different evga 850’s with mine and zero issues.
  4. Depends on use case. As there are lots of them. So how they work will depend on what you want to do.
  5. New or used the ring would be fine. A lot of block options. Still plenty on eBay. Just gave away 4 myself. A nice pump is just for piece of mind.
  6. I'd upgrade. 9900k doesnt really perform well. Holds back my old card enough to make me wonna change it. But not worth the upgrade for 2 games. Not worried about the temps in either case though.
  7. Not an issue with an fe card. Unless you have dirty power.
  8. Best you can afford. I use an old 3090. It might get 165 frames on 1080 playing mw2. I'm sure that I5 could handle something like that.
  9. I’d go neither and get the fe. I prefer something nice to look at.
  10. All the companies make their own fluid to run. Any of them can work. As far as fittings go, you need a minimum of 2 per component. The rest comes down to how you want to route it, tubing used as well.
  11. Demcifilter has kits for cases. And plenty of universal stuff. Millions of other vendors that have filtering options as well.
  12. I’d never buy a Zotac card if I could avoid it. Didn’t care to much for my 1060 as it doesn’t perform the greatest regardless of vram. But if I had to do it again I’d get the evga ssc 6gb. The same gen cards are getting pretty cheap and all of them on the reference board use a single 8 pin, if the budget would allow.
  13. I only watch his build videos. Way too bias with everything, especially after he tried to give fps gaming advice being so bad at them.
  14. Going by the internet sure. People aren’t that bright. Idk I played the games without issue as long as my cpu kept up, which is the only reason I have an issue in a game.
  15. Need to connect the fans to the board directly or via splitters. Wouldn’t use a hub on 3pin fans. The rgb can do which ever assuming the board/hub support the type of rgb the fans use.
  16. Playing 2042, all cores are pegged at 100%. Plays perfect though. Would overclock more but only yields better render times when making videos. Frames are on the low end on mw2 as well. But not worth an upgrade for me only playing one game a year.
  17. All the older cod's and bf's. As I only play fps's.
  18. Wouldnt use a 1060 for anything in the past couple gen of games. I'd only use mine for older games like bf4 and stuff like that. Really comes down to what frames you can be happy with.
  19. Given the games I'd use with those cards, Id take the sli. Assuming I had enough cpu to handled them.
  20. Well for a laptop, yes the nail polish would be smart to use. For desktop and not delidding, there isn’t a real purpose for the protection.
  21. Well if you have the cash to go to a whole new system then it’s not worth a cheap cpu. Are you limiting frames and lowing the cpu intensive settings?
