  1. Well its prolly better than a stock intel cooler. Good I3 idea.
  2. You just move the panels around. Only extra panels get bought for vertical mounting a gpu. I put a 240 on the back and rear. Just small stuff as it doesnt support 360's like the non air.
  3. I dont know what the obvious safey reasons are. Aside from money, but thats a reason to not like anything.
  4. Yea, normal temps. Get new pads and more airflow. I put a water block on mine.
  5. Id go 3090 for sure. I had no reason not to. Especially with such a small price difference.
  6. Could always paint the acrylic. Might open the options up more. Id rather take a used ek block over anything. Best build quality and looks.
  7. It was an upgrade over my 8700k. Still struggles and holds my card back. Not worth dealing with the heat, I'd look into a lower end 12/13gen. Thinking of doing the same, somewhat newer I7 with a cheap ddr4 board.
  8. 9900k struggles enough with a 3090. I get by in a few games but also not getting peak frames. I'd go cpu over gpu but since you just got it, could alway use a frame cap on the new card if need be.
  9. Fans are fans. It doesnt matter unless you try to mix them on the same header. Then it becomes a control issue.
  10. Cpu is gonna struggle in everything before the card is the limitation. Good for solo play, wouldnt do online unless is something matching the gen of the cpu, like bf4. Stuff around there.
  11. It will be fine with any adapter that you can get. I run dual 6 pin on a 3090. Used several brand adapters and all worked the same.
  12. It was ok, then game updates slowed it down so much it could barely maintain 100fps. I'll use it for old games like bf4 but pretty much useless now.
  13. Paint it. Buy a fancy cover for it. See if a water block is offered and a matching back plate and just run that. buy a broke card and swap the plate.
  14. Mine struggles with a 3090. Dont care to push the overclock to run at such high temps for little return. Other games like 2042 exaggerates that as it pegs every core. I'll be upgrading to a 13700k, no need for me to struggle with this cpu with the next wave of games coming out.
  15. Is there a free sync setting that’s a limitation via a monitor connected or output on the card? Is it mirrored for a capture card or actual monitor?
  16. The right cables being used? It’s gonna say those for a reason regardless if the card is cool enough. But still no reason to run at half the core clock. Mine sits at 1958 I think, same limits.
  17. Not knowing the version, should be able to see the limits in the software. Could have been flashed as well.
  18. Does it work in real world or are you just chasing a number?
  19. Would only get the fe models myself. Love the look and build quality. Does great for gaming if the cpu can handle it and editing videos is amazing with it. If you have the cash for a TI, go for it. Got my 3090 used but came with the $400usd block on it. Nice having a smaller card as well, opens up some build options if you go water some time.
  20. So if they sell spare panels, use the back panel instead.
  21. Yes you can put the card in. The system is designed for multiple pci devices.
  22. Ek has server so and other vendors may still have it. I tend to stick with them as they look good and I can afford them over SC.
  23. I would just use bitspower multi barb fittings. Maybe grab some 45’s, 90’s and some spacers. EK zmt tubing. You’ll need two fittings per component. And maybe a Q fitting to plumb in a drain.
  24. Never had any issues they their site myself. Ordered a few things over the years. Swapped to titanrig. Anything else I have trouble getting, I just use ebay.
