  1. Is that a question? You bought an item and its performs as intended? Sounds like how the real world is.
  2. If it didnt match the pics, I'd dispute it. I assume there werent any pics with the serial number and stuff like that? If it doesnt work out, could always skip the air cooler and put a block on it. Best option regardless of how it turns out.
  3. A 3080fe. My 3090 doesnt hit that 240 mark on 1440. But Im sure it could if I went back to 1080, assuming my cpu handle it.
  4. Better for companies to appeal to the masses. Most people have low to mid range hardware. No reason to invest in keeping something alive if there isnt a big enough return. Especially see where cards are now. People have been complaining about card prices for years. They would continue to do so about stuff they coudlnt afford anyway.
  5. Ebay would have cards. Could get a dead card and swap the cooler. Or a working card for prolly not that much more.
  6. An Evga 1060 SSC 6gb model. No reason to limit your self to 3.5gb even with that cpu. I played alot of BF1 with that cpu, being cpu intensive I still used a 1080 with it. But if going with even more modern and more demanding games, it can be an issue. Just comes down to how much you wonna spend I guess.
  7. Id' just get a new d5 from what ever company puts their name on it. Cant say I've ever had a quiet pump at 100%, so I dont run it near that. Tend to keep the speed fixed anyway, temps arent that big deal.
  8. No. They make the parts intended for this kinda use. And splitters specifically made for it.
  9. Depending on the games support, there are programs that fix the display when using surround. Id look into that. If the game itself only need to use 3 monitors, and you want to use 3 monitors for other programs, I dont really see an issue. Unless you are trying to run 5 monitors for displaying the game itself and have aditianl monitors. If so, sounds like you'd need a card change or display change. Unless the program you mentioned lets you pick the driver per aplication.
  10. Some people just have the common mindset that once the part leaves the original owner hands that it will fail instantly. Not sure how they can even function like that. Cards were failing way before the mainstream mining came a lot. Crappy products and less than intelligent users. No reason not to get one. Do your up maintenance and don’t get the lower end products. Cheap enough to go get another one if it fails. Same as anything else in life.
  11. As long as it doesn’t bother you for the things you are doing with it. Won’t make much of a difference overall.
  12. No one should be buying crappy leds like that anymore. And if they are spending the cash for high rpm fans, then a hub would be a logical choice, or a powered splitter. Even then it's not an issue. You don't need to run them at max speed ever, so it won't be an issue. Clearly the op put what fans they want, which won't hit that speed and the leds are separate. So, there isn't and will never be an issue.
  13. Most dont use the fan power for led power. So its not a factor. If the board is good, no reason not to use 3 fans on a single header. You can do a hub but you will control them all at one speed. I run the non rgb version and just stick to using the fan headers. As they can easily handle three of those fans.
  14. Doubtful. He doesn't have the tools or the technique. Plenty of other places to send it if you'd like to spend several times what its worth.
  15. Yea if they are 3 pin, you need to use DC. Cant use a hub with them either. At least none of them I've ever used.
  16. Always do a loop. No reason to be a pleb and just get by when its so easy and fun to do.
  17. Wouldnt worry about it given their track record. They arent like msi. Just buy a new card in 5 years. Could try to buy another cooler or perhaps a bad card to keep a spare set.
  18. Won’t be an issue. That’s the point if the parts. I tend to let the motherboard/cpu handle the monitors once I’m over 3. But either will work.
  19. Don’t need to swap cases. Most aren’t ideal either way. Having a case with enough rad space on exhaust only and having all fresh air on the front would be ideal. I’d just focus on getting a block for the card or upgrading to one that does. then you’d have to get cheap parts to make a full loop work. Can but done but no reason to cut corners that much.
  20. Don’t see an issue. My 3090 did less at 1080p. Increase the scaling.
  21. Radikult Customs offers ones. Bit price isnt really much better. Depends on how cheap you go one the pump. Ek's version isnt that pricey.
  22. Depends with what frame rate you are ok with capping each game. 4th gen cpu's dont go far.
  23. Dont see an issue. All my cpus' could do that. Especially if running on the high profile.
  24. Prolly have bought 25 blocks, most used and even coming with cards. Had 3 dirty gpu blocks, cleaned them and they perform the same. Only got a few used rads and never had an issue. Half my pumps were used, one fried after a while which is common for its version. One has a rpm reporting issue. I'd do it again if need be. Fittings are the only things im iffy about. As I can't replace the orings on most and not knowing their age, it's a gamble. But thats only for rotary fittings and such.
