    Raspi screen

Alright well I'm out of ideas because I don't want a touch screen, they're all very expensive, and almost all are the wrong size 3.5-5 inches would be nice.

    Raspi screen

Portable emulator using lakka, basically attaching a pi + screen onto an xbox controller like a nvidia shield I bought a chinese one that was cheap but it flickers on like once every 3 seconds, so either it's defective or my power supply isn't good enough Still kind of big and pricey but it's an option I guess, having speakers is a plus

    Raspi screen

It's $80, 7 inches (pretty big for what I want) and doesn't have very good reviews

    Raspi screen

I'm looking for a screen I can use with raspberry pi that can either run off of 5v 2a or off of gpio, preferably with amazon prime. I don't need a touch screen. any ideas?

    I need 5v 2a to power a screen

Raspberry pi tft screen, amazon says it runs at 5v 2a but when I try to use that it flickers on for a split second every few seconds

    I need 5v 2a to power a screen

I couldn't get anything to work to power a screen that goes with my raspberry pi. I tried an apple ipod charger which said it outputs 5v @ 2.4A, but that didn't work either. Would the usb cable I'm using be the problem possibly?
  7. I'm working on a portable emulator but the tft monitor isn't displaying properly. I've tried wall power supplies and GPIO pins to power it but it displays properly in a short burst, every 2-3 seconds. My raspberry pi model b is being powered by this: http://www.amazon.com/Duracell-Instant-Charger-Universal-Cable/dp/B002FU6KF2/ref=sr_1_3_a_it?ie=UTF8&qid=1458840701&sr=8-3&keywords=duracell+battery+bank and works fine. This is the screen I'm trying to use: http://www.amazon.com/Generic-Rearview-Monitor-screen-Backup/dp/B005CFLMNC/ref=cm_rdp_product And here's a review about using it with a raspberry pi: http://www.amazon.com/gp/customer-reviews/R1FDV9GO4GEVG1/ref=cm_cr_arp_d_rvw_ttl?ie=UTF8&ASIN=B005CFLMNC someone in response said " I tried the USB cord splice hack mentioned in this review and it while it "works", it really doesn't because the screen requires more power, which results in the screen briefly flashing the video feed every 1-3 seconds. 5v isn't enough to run the screen without making modifications to the internals of it. needs a minimum of 6v and a max of 12v." I tried using the 3.3v gpio but then it does nothing with 5v it flickers. I probably need to get a new battery bank. What should I do? If I need a new battery bank please give me links to cheap but decent ones.

    I Wanna Hackintosh

Look into elementary os and see if that's good enough first, it might save you some trouble

How could I detect when a guitar string is played?

I don't want to buy one if possible. Maybe I could rig up something similar though. If possible I'd like to avoid adding any non-portable components to this
  10. I had an idea for my uno, which is putting six leds on the bridge of my guitar and lighting them up when the corresponding string is played. I'm not really sure how I could detect that though. Any ideas? I don't think a light sensor would work because there would be a lot of interference, some kind of microphone would probably detect the other strings as well.
  11. My temperatures in HWMonitor are showing up as 75F. It shows minimum as 61F and max as 85F. These aren't accurate. Room temperature is like 70Fish Can I still overclock if the temp probe is not accurate?
  12. Maybe this weekend. Overclocking sounds rather time consuming.
  13. Using an AMD FX-6300, 8 gigs ddr3, R9 280, some crucial SSD. If I overclock from 3.5ghz to 4.5ghz how much of an FPS boost can I expect in heavily modded minecraft?

    Google's weird results

This is the main reason I use uBlock on most websites. The cost of smoking advertisements (Guy rips his teeth out with pliers, girl tears skin off), people with faces disfigured from car accidents (or diseases), and retarded diet fad advertisements drive me insane. On youtube there was some thing about "Inner beauty" or whatever showing some girl with some flesh eating disease, it sucks that that happens to people but it's disgusting and I don't want to see it, so you shouldn't even being showing it to me. Stuff like that makes me feel sick and think about that kind of thing all night. I just have to remove it, out of sight, out of mind.
