Did for 2 mins and it didn't burn down. Heading to bed now and will do a longer test tomorrow.

Azortharion got a reaction from Vitalius in HyperX Beast RAM not delivering promised speeds?
It didn't work, I spotted something, though.

Specifically when I put a stick in one of the DIMM slots on the motherboard (second from the right), I'd get a 55 debug LED code (Memory issue), and I'd hear three medium-long beeps from the speaker. If I remove that DIMM, and just use the one closest to the CPU socket, it works fine, and when I use a dual-channel configuration that doesn't use that exact DIMM slots, I get no error.

I am unable to get 2400 MHz in any configuration, however. :c

Guess I better get saving up for Haswell.

Not at all, no. 3770k is probably the best gaming processor out there today (tends to beat the 3930k and Extreme processors), by the time the 700-series comes out, the Haswells will be out, most probably.

I don't think that not bottlenecking in very high-end SLI configurations is actually possible, but you will have no problem with a 3770k for the next couple years.
