How can you be the best if you aren't doing 8 things at once on a tiny screen?

    :P

@Ryan_Vickers 2 is already more than enough :P

@Tech_Dreamer nope, but I wish he'd do that

Smartphones haven't really caught my attention for a number of years now. Just nothing earth-shattering about them anymore. They're all more or less the same (the mid to high end phones) and they all more or less look the same. I think they need to stop pushing pixels and start pushing battery life, above all else.

I'm actually seriously considering going for a lower-end phone next time because they tend to be easier on the battery, come with less bloat and as long as the screen is 1080p, that's more than plenty for a <6" screen. My current phone is an LG G4 with a 1440p panel, and I honestly cannot see the difference between my old phone (Nexus 5) with a 1080p panel.

I sort of agree with you @MEC-777

I have a Xiaomi Mi Max 2 with a massive 6.44" screen, decent specs (1080p, octa-core Snapdragon, 4GB of RAM, 64 of ROM) and a massive 5300mAh battery that, if I wanted, could last me 3 days of medium use. I cannot kill this battery on a single day, it's stupid. Camera is pretty meh and Xiaomi should definitely improve it, but other than that, it's a pretty amazing phone. And pretty thin too.

My previous phone was a Redmi Note 2 from the same brand, also 1080p but 5.5", which means, higher dpi, and just like you I don't see any differences. I was a bit afraid of having "only" 1080p on this massive screen, but it's absolutely fine.

1080p is pretty sharp on my 24" monitor (for me anyways). So 1080p on something smaller that 6.5" should be way more than enough. ;)
