Idk about the event viewer, only heard it now too haha. I thought it all generates dump files like everybody's been talking about but for me that whole folder isn't there at all. Also I never overclocked my CPU at all. So I don't know if it really is the silicon degrading. But I noticed that my GPU temps at idle are a bit high, so might be my GPU messing up? I got no other spare GPU to check the issue so that's a bit troubling.

Hello, I've recently been getting a lot of BSOD crashes during gaming with my 1080Ti and i7 8700K PC. It started about a few weeks ago and now it's more frequent, I played Dota and it started to crash, I lowered the graphics and it worked for 2-3 matches before crashing. I tried other graphic intensive games, such as High on Life by Squanch Games and it crashed right after the intro was over (soon as high polygon models needed rendering). I've monitored the GPU/CPU temps, they're not that bad, my GPU is around 70-80 degrees. My CPU isn't running that hot either, it's around mid 70 or so degrees. My hard disk just gave up about 3 days ago, it's a very old Seagate that lasted me more than a decade, it stopped showing up on Windows one day, I restarted, it showed up again. Then the other day it was gone again but restarting didn't help this time. I removed it, plugged it back in, it still didn't work and then I let it be unplugged. I thought that that's what caused the BSOD so it should be fixed now. I played Dota the whole day on higher settings and it did work, no BSOD, but as soon as I played Uncharted 4 last night, it came back again. The faulty HDD isn't plugged in and I was so close to buying another. I also reinstalled Windows (11), and it's the same issue. Could anyone help me troubleshoot it? The crash logs aren't generating either after BSOD so idk how to get them or get them to generate. I'm so stressed because I don't know which hardware is giving me issues or if it's the hardware at all? Because then I don't know what to replace if something needs replacing. tl;dr BSOD [Critical Process Died] during gaming. Windows reinstall didn't help, disconnecting a faulty HDD didn't work either. BSOD doesn't generate crash log for me. Would love to troubleshoot the damn issue. Help brahs. Hello folks! I've recently been getting a lot into the audiophile gear stuff (and by that, I mean researching, not really picking things up). I've been using my Beyerdynamic's Custom One Pro Plus for about 7 years now and am completely happy with them! However, I really want to get into higher quality headphones that are openback, and for some reason, my heart's just set on DT 1990 Pro. And since my COPs are only 16 Ohms headphones, I dont really need a separate amp obviously. But now as a newbie, getting straight into the higher bracket gear such as DT1990 Pro, I do wonder what would be the best option for me right now? (My onboard audio says they're capable of driving even 600 Ohm pairs, but idk if that's still going to do these headphones justice but here's the link: https://rog.asus.com/motherboards/rog-strix/rog-strix-z370-e-gaming-model/spec ) Some suggestions I see and that are available to me are: FiiO K5 Pro, FiiO E10K (cheaper but idk how good they are compared to K5 Pro), Topping E30/L30 stack (kinda pushing the budget but if they're REALLY better compared to the cheaper options, I could try getting them if they're justified). I'm from India, so my options are kinda limited, the two major online stores i can get the equipment from are: headphonzone.in and amazon.in My budet's around 25,000 Rs. I'd definitely go with the BenQ when compared to the Predator XB271HU, it was my top choice but it wasn't available so I considered Acer then suddenly one of the retailers I emailed, just emailed me back today saying the BenQ was available and I instantly ordered it. There's lack of genuine reviews out there but I do believe it's a better monitor compared to the old Acer competitions like Nitro or XB1 I'd go with LG if it was in stock but since it's not and it won't be for foreseeable future, I'm happy with the BenQ just as much.

I'm imagining that's an okay fit considering 10bit stuff [8+FRC] and HDRi etc then. Because I ordered a separate one with the monitor since I don't think you get one inside the box. And i realized after ordering that it was 1.2

Hey man, I managed to contact one of the folks here and they availed BenQ's EX2780Q for me, which is grand so I've ordered that just today! Now it's a waiting game. Might I ask, since the monitor has DP 1.4 port, am I okay with using a 1.2 cable?

Hello folks, I write this in desperation right now as I need a monitor and I held on for months till LG's 27GL850 were introduced to Indian market but there's no talk of any of them being available. Then recently came BenQ EX2780Q and even that isn't yet available here and I don't know if it will be for foreseeable future. The reason I want some help here is because my current Dell 1080p IPS monitor I got from 2014 has some panel issues, it flickers randomly [though rarely] and has a permanent green vertical line to the left side. Therefore, it may die someday soon or even if it doesn't, I feel like I do need an upgrade as I upgraded to 1080Ti earlier this year. Now my usage is : some competitive gaming such as R6 Siege/Destiny 2 at the moment with all kinds of games that interest me, indie or AAA ones. I like IPS and I don't wanna go to a TN panel, not because I love the IPS, but also because of my second main usage: 3D Modeling, I am an aspiring 3D artist, I try to sculpt/create characters so I use ZBrush/Maya/Substance etc for my studies. Right now, the only option I could see that's available to me is an Acer XB271HU [45,000 Rs = approx 600$ USD] in the market that's both IPS and 144Hz to meet my needs here where I think I could both game and work on my 3D art. However, I really wanna know people's suggestion from here if available, the websites I use to get PC components are - amazon.in, theitdepot.com, primeabgb.com, mdcomputers.in, vedantcomputers.com I've considered Acer Nitro XV272U a while back when I first asked for an advice through the forum but found out that it's a downscaled 4k panel or something from one of the reviews that says it's not as good as a native 1440p monitor so that turned me off from getting it. I've also looked at BenQ PD2700Q and BenQ SW2700PT, kinda entertained the idea of me buying one of these, trying to convince myself that maybe it's the right choice to again stick with 60Hz for focusing more on work but I also can't get the idea of a higher refresh rate out of my head especially when there's IPS monitors available out there with 144Hz these days. TL;DR - On a budget of around 45,000 Rs/600$ USD Study 3D Character Modeling + Moderate amount of gaming 1. Want a 1440p IPS monitor with 144Hz refresh rate but only have Acer XB271HU available in market as far as I've looked [is it a good option?] 2. If I must, I'm willing to go lower with refresh rate if that's really what I should aim for as an artist first than a competitive gamer or the other way around, maybe someone in the industry of 3D Character design would argue I wouldn't need that much color accuracy unless it's a color grading work for Pixar or something [someone said that to me once] Please help me out here, I'm really lost and confused that it's eating me up inside.

I've upgraded my system early last year, from 4th Gen to 8th Gen Processor, here's my specs to keep everything short : Processor : Intel Core i7 8700K [with Corsair H100i V2 Cooler] Motherboard : Asus ROG Strix Z370-E RAM : G.Skill TridentZ 16GB [8x8] 3200MHz Graphics Card : Asus ROG Strix GTX1080Ti My question is : I've been wanting to upgrade my ram to 32GB, and I thought I shall go for another 2 sticks of 3200MHz TridentZ, the same model I bought before, however, I have read some articles here and there saying that it's really hard to get the RAMs to work together if they haven't come in the same pack before. I really don't wanna spend more and throw away my RAMs to get a 4 sticks bundle. Is this really an issue to upgrade later? Or is it not so true and I'm overthinking about it? I don't wanna waste my money only to find out my RAMs don't work and that I have to send them back and I don't even know if they'll issue a refund so it's bit of a risk. Please help me out here, thank you!

It's cheaper than what I was looking for, compared to others. It's around 360$USD but is it a good one? In the comments they show some backlight bleed issues and it's not IPS either. Nope, that seems to be exclusively available in UK or at least for the most part, here, we got some ACER and Asus and BenQ and Dell monitors that mostly dominate the market. Hello there, folks. So I've been using my PC with my IPS display of Dell S2240L since 2014 now. The panel now seems to have been messing up, there's a permanent green line going straight down on the panel that looks really weird, but I've been putting up with it for a few months now. It's not too thick to block much of my vision on whatever it is that I'm doing. Although, now's also the time for me to upgrade/get a second screen, my main goal is 3D Modeling and do all the arts work. My choice right now is a Dell UltraSharp 25" (U2518D) it's available for about 33k INR which is 460-500$USD But, I have to mention I also game a lot and I am really attracted towards gaming monitors for their higher refresh rates, the drawback is the TN panel, I think if I'm doing arts, with the color sensitive work, I should stick with IPS? I want to keep my current monitor, and if possible, maybe have its panel replaced, some computer repairing guy said that could be done but idk if it's going to be the real deal? The price for replacing it wasn't that high at least to me [it was about 50$), so I don't know if it's going to affect the quality of the monitor compared to the original panel that it came with. So anyway, I'll keep the current monitor and have it as my secondary screen I'd use for references etc as I work on the new primary monitor that's supposed to be better. TL;DR : My budget is 500$ and I wanna know if it's possible to get a gaming monitor with good display for art work as well as higher refresh rates or if I should stick with IPS and 60Hz monitor and if Dell UltraSharp 25" (U2518D) is a good idea? Oh it was resolved, all they said I had to do was to set up an IP4 Address for my PC. Doing that, made everything work again.

Hello, So I'm using my FTTH connection and suddenly for the past 3 days, my Steam's started not loading its homepage. Then my Uplay would also be acting weird, it won't load up the photos/avatars of any of my friends from my friendlist Then comes Origin, which wouldn't even let me log in, it'd keep loading and tell me that the Origin is unavailable to login at the moment which is strange because I'm using a 100 Mbps connection and speedtest's giving good results as well as other websites working well, like Google, YouTube, Twitter, Facebook etc. They all work on my phone data or other network but just not on my FTTH, so I don't know what to say to my ISP because I don't know what's this problem even called... It's kind of frustrating me now because I can't play a lots of games on Origin or access Steam store. Could anyone help me out with this?

I know and that's what bugs me, I'm right now in a position where my GPU could just die at any second and that'd stop my studies for as long as I gotta wait for the new series. If only I wasn't living here, I'd have gotten the card at a cheaper cost. I know that it's not at all that expensive in other parts of the world but there's nothing I could do about it, if I have them ship one through USA, the customs would fuck me up still. But I'll check what I could do about it.

I have upgraded my PSU from a CX600W to an RM850x just last time as I upgraded my CPU and RAM and my Motherboard. Also my case does look like it'd support the size of a 1080Ti, I've had the extra HDD cases removed so there's plenty of room for a wide card.

Btw, to add one more question, if I was to go for a 1080Ti, should I go with an ASUS STRIX OC edition or Zotac AMP! Extreme edition? ZOTAC one is a bit cheaper than ASUS. Zotac : 1071 USD ASUS : 1155 USD
