  1. it isn't old news, a "leak" can be completely fake, only this is confirmed
  2. its only voided if they have the stickers on the screws, my gigabyte card can be taken apart without voiding the warranty
  3. right now, i would have to say my gpu, i was unfortunate enough that when i bought my Gigabyte 7970 OC edition, that i got the rev 2.1, in which they changed the layout so now no waterblock will fit it other than an ugly universal block, which makes it pointless to build a full loop
  4. take the cooler off, turn the computer on, fry your card, put the cooler back on, send it in
  5. who said he was able to eat before, he's always locked in the house making and editing videos linus
  6. well, thats what i saw on a few sites, i guess they were wrong
  7. yes you can, you do one set of the drives in normal CONSUMER environment AKA in a PC case at room temp (normal use), one set in a 4U server (enterprise use), and one in say an open air enviroment (control)
  8. i call bullshit on this, ive had a 500GB and 3TB seagate barracuda and they are both running fine, S.M.A.R.T. even says its perfectly fine, and i have over 600GB of games across both, and they are perfectly fine for the last 2 years.....
  9. AMD sells their chips to microsoft and sony at just above cost, if not at a loss
  10. not to cause a shit storm, but when the 8350 beats out even a 3770K, how exactly can you say they are rubbish?
  11. i'm using the scrypt version of GUIMiner, and all you need to do is have one tab per gpu, so just go to file, new miner, and either choose CGMiner or CUDA miner, set it up, and you're done
  12. it was just a test, i have about 1500 right now, just wondering where it is actually possible to sell, since bitcoin is literally impossible without an ASIC miner, and litecoin is getting close
  13. ok, so i just started mining some dogecoins (currently at 400 total in my wallet) but the only place ive found that supports it is Cryptsy, but even 1 hour later, my deposit of 30 dogecoins it is still sitting at pending, anyone know any other places, it doesn't look like BTC-E is available.
  14. technically speaking, it can't just be patched in through a firmware update, the statement clearly says it is limited by the ASIC scaler chip in current displays
