Hello users of linustechtips, I own a Dell XPS L702x. I have it for about 3-4 years now. But I had to re-install windows (replace HDD) due to Hard drive failure. After I reinstalled windows everything seemed work fine. I installed stuff like Google Chrome, steam etc. I also had to install a driver for my GPU (GT 555M). So I installed the latest NVIDIA driver (v. 352.86) and Geforce Experience also came with it. After I installed the driver my laptop fan started to act a little odd. My laptop fan kept turning on and off. On for 5 seconds then off for 5 seconds etc. Strangely, my fan could only spin without stopping when I played games such as Garry's mod, Skyrim or CS:GO. My laptop keeps overheating when I'm doing regular stuff such as surfing on the web or playing games similar to Super Hexagon, Binding of Isaac or Osu.
NOTE: This didn't happen before I installed the NVIDIA driver and Geforce Experience.
Any help will be appreciated.
