  1. I'm more bleak about SGX being deprecated, I know about the flaws, but TEEs are an interesting research field. I wonder if this (SGX being deprecated) also applies to their commercial CPUs.
  2. Hi @Pikeboi, I also have a 3770k and have been contemplating overclocking (I have an Antec Kuhler 620, so very similar to your cooler). Have you seen a noticeable increase in performance after the overclock?
  3. Hello LTT My friend really wants to invest some money into a good soundcard, recently he found a special for around $100 for an Asus Xonar ST (http://www.asus.com/Essence_HiFi_Audio/Xonar_Essence_ST/). I know that the STX is better for compatibility, but that is way above his budget, the STX is around $200 in South Africa. He has this motherboard http://www.msi.com/support/mb/H67MAE35_B3.html#down-bios The only other card he has at the moment is a MSI 660 ti. Will he be able to use an Asus Xonar ST with the 660 ti? Please ask for any more information that you might require. PS. He is using Windows 8 Dukfruk261
  4. Great Videos guys, first video I watched was the MSI 660 Ti PE review. Keep up the good work. South Africa
  5. Mine is online again, for now...
  6. Ah classic fanboy wars in these types of articles lol
  7. Found the cause of my troubles, one of my ram sticks is faulty, the other one is perfectly stable, ran prime 95 for 24h, no errors. The faulty stick would start giving errors after just 2 minutes of prime95 blend test.
  8. Greetings LTT forums yet again. Today I wanted to test my pc stability, using prime95.(Note every component is running stock clocks/ factory OC.) My pc specs: Board: MSI Z77A-GD65 Bios: Version A.80 VGA: MSI N660Ti PE 2GD5/OC X2 PSU: Corsair AX860i Intel Core i7 3770K Ivy Bridge 3.5GHz LGA 1155 MEM: Corsair Vengeance 4GB DDR3-1600 - CL9 1.5v XMP 2x4gb (Running at 1333Mhz) Storage: OCZ vector 256 gig SSD and 2x Seagate Barracuda 2000GB (64MB;7200) Soundcard: Asus Xonar Essence STX COOLER: Antec KÜHLER H₂O 620 CPU Cooler OC Gpu:Factory OC Cpu: Stock Memory: 1333 mhz OS: Windows 8 64 Bit professional I started running a custom blend test, like the one Linus did in his memory diagnostic video. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NZhHlX6JMvg) Setting the memory usage to 7500 MB (I have a total of 8 gigs of memory). I had a lot of threads failing, even after running just for a short time, any suggestions? See the image below: Dukfruk
  9. Well my PSU blew up today. I was busy playing payday 2, then I saw massive white flash at the back of my PSU, it was almost as loud as a gunshot. Hopefully only the PSU got fried and not any of the other components in my PC, luckily everything is still under warrenty, but I am not 100% sure about the PSU, can't remmer how long that warrenty is. Going to take my entire pc to the shop I bought all my components from and have them test each of the components to make sure nothing else got damaged.
  10. Thank you for the reply Linus will try and get my hands on a multimeter in the meantime.
  11. I think HWmonitor is not reading accurately, scroll up a bit and check the BIOS screenshot.
  12. Did some testing, running prime95 large FFT's, and heaven benchmark, at the same time to check stability: Note how the power consumption of my GPU is jumping up and down, causing the GPU usage to be unstable.
  13. That is unlucky man, unfortunately I do not have a spare PSU to test my system with, but like I said in my first post, I was thinking about running 2x 660Ti PE in SLI, then I definitely need a new PSU, still need a bit of cash though :P
  14. I think it might be HWmonitor reading inaccurately here is a screenshot in the BIOS: Now I am clueless...
