  1. i would say: step up the voltage a bit or go down with the ram clock
  2. 650 W is enough Even a 550 W psu would handle your system
  3. Guess a 600w should be enough to power your pc but if you want suggestions for cases or mainboard you should maybe tell us whats important for you (like sidewindows or small formfactor )
  4. I would probably switch to linux because its less hardware hungry than win xp and win xp isnt supported anymore so you should be on the safe (and faster) side with linux
  5. Oh im sorry, you´re right. If you want to go with that motherboard you should look for DDR3-1066 or DDR3-1333 RAM.
  6. So no problems with the 6700k when i want to add a third gpu ( would there be issues with the 5930k ) ?
  7. Yeah, maybe some editing here and there but mostly for games.
  8. Hello guys, im planing a new build and wanted to go with a 5930k ´cause of the 6 cores and the step to the 5960x was too expensive for me. But then the 6700k came out, with "only" 4 cores but a 4,0 ghz baseclock and pretty big oc-potential. I dont really care which plattform (x99 or z170) is more expensive. My plan is to go with two 980 ti´s in sli (maybe sometime in the future a third one will join them) and i heard there would be issues with the pcie-lanes. also im going to watercool the whole thing so which cpu´s tim is better isnt that important (i guess ^^) Im probably going to use it for gaming mainly so one could say the 6700k would be more than enough because of its 4 cores but directx 12 should be able to use more cores sooo i´ve really got no idea for what to go for. 5930k or 6700k Hope you guys can help me Thanks in advance
  9. Do you mean you used the one port of your videocard and one port of your mobo for the two screens ?
  10. There is pretty much no difference between ram clockspeeds while gaming Linus even made a video of the differences within ram speed The difference of 800 mhz and 2400 mhz was just 0.1 fps so no reason to really care.
  11. Looks great what you've done there and i even should have enough room in my corsair 750d but i would go crazy if i inform myself about another cooler becauss at the moment i only have the g10 in my mind and cant even decide if i should buy it or not ^^ If NZXT sells the G10 without Vram heatsinks i think it wont melt while gaming and glueing those heatsinks on should give me a bit of a safe feeling. I read about the Vram heatsinks from Alpenfohn but i cant find a website selling them. Did you mean putting a noctua on the radiator of the g10 or replacing the 92 mm fan by a noctua fan ? Or maybe even both ^^ ?
  12. My Powercolor runs just fine but only the noise it´s doing when its working annoys me a bit. I´ve never really thougt about a loop just for my 290x but it might be a bit to expensive buying a radioator, pump and a waterblock because if i had the money i wouldnt cool my cpu with a h100i ^^. But i feel a bit more safe thinking of the G10 because i can change the AiO-Cooler anytime i want or change the 92mm-fan. One of my other problems is that i really cant find any Vram heatsinks except those: http://www.amazon.com/Zalman-VGA-Ram-Heatsinks-ZM-RHS1/dp/B0009YIJ2I But i have absolutely no idea if they fit under the G10. By the way: I have a 290X with a reference cooler because it was a pretty new one and i would have never thought that AMD would use such a bad cooler. PS: Didnt expect so many answers in such a short time
  13. I just recently bought an H100i for my cpu and two Noctua NF-F12 for the radiator and it decreased the noise of my pc extremely but im still not satisfied. Especially when i play games like Crysis 3 or Battlefield 4 my R9 290X from Powercolor turns into a Jet-Engine so i thought of cooling it with an aftermarketcooler. I saw a couple of reviews for the Arctic Accelero Xtreme IV and the Kraken g10 and now i have to choose what i take. With the Arctic Accelero Xtreme IV the gpu seems to run a bit hotter and the installation is more difficult but there are no problems with the Vram. On the other hand the kraken g10 cools the gpu better and is easier to install but i heard that you need extra heatsinks for the Vram. Im neither overclocking nor planning to overclock my R9 290X with the Kraken G10 so : Will i have any problems with the Vram on the Kraken G10 if i dont overclock my graphics card ? Im sorry if such a question has been answered before but i just dont know what to buy. Thanks in advance
