  1. Samsung 34" curved all the way, i went through 2 lgs because of issues and choose the samsung, no regrets what so ever.
  2. Not sure if im allowed to write this here but the samsung is currently £679.15 with free next day shipping on the samsung uk website which is where i purchased mine, which makes it cheaper than the Dell U3415W and honestly im over the moon with mine and i am a very picky person, for this amount of money you expect the best and at this moment in time if you dont want to wait another year for the next big thing to be available the samsung is your safest option and will last you a long time
  3. I went from 3 screens to 1 ultra wide myself and regret nothing, gaming displayed too much stretching on 3 screens and u can get just as much productivity on a 34" ultrawide
  4. If your happy to deal with the backlight bleed then sure get the Dell, the samsung curved once calibrated gives the best of both worlds, great colours, very low response times and NO bleed.
  5. I will say this out of experience after owning both, if you feel you can handle bleed in all 4 corners and think you wont notice it, which you will and it will always be in the back of your head making you notice it then go with the lg, the distraction in dark games was too noticeable for me and for the price it was not worth the hassle and value so i returned it. After owning the samsung for a week now i am certain its a keeper and even with freesync monitors coming out i will be owning this samsung for a long time before something decent firstly gets announced and then released a year later, after a little calibrating with an x-rite a1 display pro and tweaking the response setting to standard this monitor is above and beyond the lg and any other 21:9 3440 x 1440 on the market at the moment for that matter. This is one monitor i will not regret purchasing or having to deal with returning for the 5th time hoping to get a good one by playing the lottery. Dont get me wrong you might have to return the samsung if there is an external issue like a hair behind the display, several dead pixels or a display is leaning too much too one side, but mine is immaculate and the deep blacks and colours once calibrated are on par with ips displays and have better blacks, there is no ghosting, no tearing, no bleed, the speakers are decent if you choose to you em, the stand is great and moves like a charm and plus its basically a plug n play monitor with it already attached, you will be using it within 20 minutes of having the box in you home. If your looking for a 34" curved display then this is your best choice at the moment and by the time a 34" ips curved freesync/gsync 144hz without an fps cap window comes out you would have used this for a long time and been happy you spent your money on the correct monitor.
  6. yeh anything above 1200 i find it too be too loud, i cant imagine how loud it must be at 3000 rpm
  7. So from to to create positive airflow, or should i leave that front top fan as it was
  8. Nah its not loud at all, like i mentioned all the fans run at 1140 rpm and the gpu fan speeds are at 30% so its very quite. nah my problem is with the lamperon fan controller it sometimes reset the fans to 0-300 rpm and for some reason fans wont run below 900 rpm on this fan controller, this is only after my pc is off and when i turn it back on the next day or week even, somtimes 1 of the fans is at 300 rpm so i have to twist it back up and my god are the knobs on the lamptron fc5v3 sensative
  9. Ah ok so reversing the rear 140 exhaust is the bets thing i can do. Thanks for the advice
  10. not sure what you mean by the third line i have 4 140s in total 6 120, are you saying the rear 140 is doing nothing of value right now and only the front 4 fans are working as intended ?
  11. Sorry by swapping i mean turn it around and making int an intake fan, not swapping it with a 120mm
  12. It was such a hassle trying to fit the 4 fans on the h105, they fit by 1 or 2 mm with the mobo being push back a lil. id rather leave them as they are if possible
  13. I live in the UK so no not a hot country, also the noise is noise is very much tolerable i have them running below 1200 rpm at all times and the 290's fan speed is rarely above 30% - 40% with all 3 fans running, runs much cooler than having just the middle fan running, if they are any higher then i just wear headphones that block out everything in the outside world ! i Decided to go all out on fans because like people mentioned i dont want to have to deal with the issues and maintenance water cooling comes with, with fans its jsut a little dust now and then to blow out, and plus they look beautiful by them self, i had the extra expense at the time and im sure a water cooling setup would of cost twice the amount these 10 fans did Yeh my initial thought before getting these fans was to stick a 140 on the side to exhaust the 290s hot air but it would of made the system look hideous and i couldn't bring myself to do it and of cource spend another £40 on tools to do the job not sure what you mean about the image size, on my screen it look ok and view-able, but i have 2 140 intakes at the front, 2 120 intake at the bottom 1 140 exhaust on the back 4 120 exhaust on the h105 in push pull and 1 140 exhaust above the optical drive bay to exhaust any hot air idling there. the 140 above the optical drive bay was an extra when my fan order got mixed up so i thought id just chuck it in there and it would only aid in air flow. some one on another forum mentioned swapping the 140 exhaust on the back around to increase positive air pressure. any configuration recommendations are welcome
  14. Hey ive had my pc for several months now and installed my new Noctua fans 2 months ago if i recall and placed them to try and bring as much cool air towards the gpus as possible and exhaust as much hot air as possible, i wasnt too sure on the best direction to place them but after a little research i thought this would be the most efficient. I placed an extra fan above the fan controller and HDD to exhaust any hot air that may be idling in the optical drive bays. I have all the fans connected to a lamptron FC5V3 via 1 splitter each and generally keep all their rpm at 1080-1200, anymore and the noise gets annoying and any less than 1000 and the fans will reset to 0 rpm when i turn my pc back on not sure why but its to do with the fan controller. There are 10 fans in total 6 x Noctua NF-F12 IndustrialPPC 2000RPM IP67 PWM 120mm High Performance Fan 4 x Noctua NF-A14 IndustrialPPC 2000RPM IP67 PWM 140mm High Performance Fan I decided to go all out on these fans because i had the extra money and didnt want to have to deal with all the extra maintenance watercooling comes with, nothing but a lil dust with my datavac once a month with fans Asking now after 4 months because im about to replace all the cables with a new set of cablemod red & black cables and ill just change the direction of any fans if anyone has any recommendations. many thanks I have 3 profiles on msi afterburner, 30%, 40% and 50%. They generally stay at 30% and rarely go above 75c, 40% fan speed for both is usually my max, 50% and i have to wear headphones for the noise Will changing the direction of any of these fans improve air flow and cooling ?
