  1. well this was the one i was going with had higher clock speeds watched and read different reviews where it was faster quieter and more overclockable. your thoughts please?? http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=8906821&CatId=7387
  2. im open to either i went 750 ti only due to power consumption and im using the psu that came with case so didnt wanna get bashed for not having 80+and no pci e connectors lol . i want to play games in the highest settings possible and still be relevant 2 years from now. personally i just have no benchmark to go off of I was set on building an 8 core when i didnt i was still amazingly suprised how great this pc runs I just dont wanna do that same thing think i need a 760 if i dont need 1 thats all.. but every review or test says things like 750 ti barely faster than 650 ti which is 50 bucks cheaper... is that something a new to pc gamer would be able to tell the difference between. im watching r9 280s go for like 160 bucks is that a better route(again only waivering due to my psu) im cheap, i can afford a 760 and a 750w 80+ psu thats under 300.00 ( i can schmooze the wife) but do i need it is the real question... i know i only have 760g mobo so not sli or extra bells n whistles so do i spend that much. or does my wife inherit a 4 core fx with a $100.00 gpu in 6 months lol
  3. so im running fx 4150 on a 760g 8 gb ram 450 w psu. im trying to figure out whats the best card for me.i was looking at the gtx 750 ti oc on sale 139. after rebate but the more research I do the more stumped I become. Benchmarks, Futuremarks are pretty easy to figure out. (random question)what confuses me is a gtx 580 is almost as good as 760 in passmark so how do things like this reflect on gaming as a whole.just wondering if i might be better off going with older radeon or nvidia off say ebay as they will still be more beautiful than anything ive ever seen on my own pc lol. of course I'd like to game on the best settings I can in 1080 if possible and just trying to figure out whats my best option in the 100-150 dollar range i suppose for new or used and is my psu big enough i assume it wont be for a bigger card. I built this pc for under $200. and its the fastest thing ive ever owned so not sure if buying a card worth twice as much as my build is the right thing to do any help would be appreciated just a noob who does way too much research lol
  4. Thanks for the help... but what about 2nd part of this dilemma because were looking at a $400.00 foundation(cpu mobo etc etc) and a $200-$300 Gpu so this is now a 700.00 build which im ok with but heres the question... i can buy a prebuilt i know i know but i can I5-4440 in need of graphics card for $500.00 or an xps 8700 i7-4770 with gt 645 gpu for 750.00 and this is with more monitors and keyboards i really dont need so i can probably get even cheaper now with that said what type of performance difference is there between my homebuilt barebones 8320 and either the i5 or I7 and then remember i can get on a small monthly payment... just trying to take in all the factors before making any leaps in purchase and I know you guys are way smarter than I am. I mean if the i7 with so so card (645) is $750. then could i squeeze more out of the I5 with a 250 gpu than that stock xps 8700...everything is compared against the 4770 so is the dell version worth it at the same price as my amd barebones... please help!!!
  5. ok after some research it doesnt even look like these 2 processors are even in the same league. 3d mark and passmark scores of the 8320 are more than double that of the 760k... must of missed i was looking to future proof as best possible lol ...im hoping my questions can actually be answered I didnt really come here for others to build a pc for me although i find that kind of help super awesome. I just wanted to know if i was on the right track like i said ive been researching well over a month now and cant find these items at better prices than the barebones i posted here. now i can find cheaper costing parts maybe per item on pcpicker but these exact parts are almost $100 more than the barebones. its not exact minus great card water cooler and way cooler case n power supply but im wanting a poor mans version of what digital milk seems to run 8320 with 970 board. again I am far from an expert but i dont see the point in building a pc for me that costs more money and is only half as powerful as what i brought to the table. Im not looking for the machine to just be able to play steam games... but to play them well. im just looking for someone to tell me where i might be right and where i might be way wrong not looking to ruffle any feathers
  6. Thanks so much but if I may ask why this over the 8320 wouldnt i just want to stay where i was at ? stronger processor better motherboard am i missing something not trying to be rude in any way. i dont ever plan on using a cd again so thats not big deal have official windows 7 disk and keyboards.
  7. id like to keep it around 400 or so...about what i was trying to spend on those links plus whatever component was missing... ill be waiting for the builds im super excited to see what can be done. i can go higher if i need to but i like this range give or take 100 lol... thanks again
  8. Really appreciating all the help you Guys... Thanks

  9. the thing is after watching review after review after review yes the intels better but its proven to not be that much better for the price has it?? and my problem is once i know theres a 4770 out there ill never want to invest in 2700... is that wrong of me am i not thinking correctly with that one. and like i said in post only amd i had died 3 days after 1 year warranty went out so im not loving amd... just thought reviews were decent... Im no fan boy either way but im typing on my 8 yr old 1.6 duo core as we speak this thing has been great all these years. i just want best bang for buck... i almost never pay for full price im cheap...
  10. well both these deals are at 325.00 which i thought was a pretty good deal i was looking at spending $100 up to $200 on a gpu (hadnt researched best bang for buck yet). see its not that i have to be on a budget but i was looking to build 2 of them...and my birthdays in 2 weeks so if possible just wanted to grab to get by then...I dont know how good of a build I need to do the streaming, rendering, lets plays and I'm still seeing people spend ridiculous amounts of money on fx 4300 so i thought i was on right track. then like in my question do i just pay the peanuts a month and get that dell i dont want lol is that dell that much better or is it just a dell?? im in the states... Myrtle Beach
  11. Thanks so much for all the help guys... I went to pcpartspicker to build copies of them for you guys but didnt seem to get those exact parts any cheaper... but again any help is appreciated...i started this journey looking to build a steam box Amd Apu but just cant waste time to build something not good enough... now for my wifes computer... we can talk lol
  12. Whats up everybody, I need some help. Ill keep it as simple as I possibly can I have a couple different variables so ill just start. My Wife and I are both avid console and light pc gamers( just never had good enough computers) So I will eventually need to build 2 rigs. Now thats not at all an issue, im the bring it to him guy so putting it together wont be an big deal. Now the whole point of the build is We would eventually like to do some lets play and heavy Steam gaming So not only will it need to game but live stream on twitch and of course render tons of youtube videos in excellent quality. Now I've been doing tons of research for the last 2 months or so. so much my wife wont talk computers with me anymore lol Ive been through the Amds the Intels the Apu's Ive walked across both Sandy and Ivy Bridges and I guess in my opinion it comes down to this. If I can afford it I think in a semi perfect world i guess im building a 4770k but if im a tab bit poorer I can build an fx 8350 or so to run my poor mans sporstcar quite happily.. now Ive been looking at Barebones Pcs on a couple different websites and these are 2 different inexpensive builds im looking at. now like I said I want to play games in pretty good quality i want to stream video, edit maybe make some music here n there so I dont think I need the biggest baddest motherboard out there but I need help... I dont have anything personally to go on... my best pc was a Dell inspiron m 5010 that the Northbridge died 3 days after warranty went out. so I dont know If I need more than say an fx 6300... now on these 2 links I know that 6300 build doesnt have hard drive only 4gb and bad graphics card that i need to replace anyway and that the 8320 has no card at all but my first real question is am I on the right track for the price.. just seemed like best bang for money and want honest opinions on these builds which again I know are incomplete http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?Edp... http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?Edp... Pretty much same just need to know if im not looking at or for the right things. Now comes the second part of my question I can get something Like a Dell XPS 8700 which i dont want but on payments of almost nothing a month I can get with that 4770 no k i know it only comes with gt 645 but thats way better than that 5450 lol... again id probably eventually end up replacing that gpu and psu if need be... so the Dell option Is little more than double the price but 2nd best Intel chip and at 150 a month instaed a full build at this moment... what is my smartest option here will the 6300 be enough ? is the 8320 with 970 board and decent card more than i need for somewhere around 450 bucks for the next 5 years. is the dell i buy as good or close to what i need I'm sorry its a really long post I just wanted to get as much in as possible any help would be greatly appreciated.
