Let's say that on a registrar I have root domain e.g. test.com On the CNAME RRs, I understand when I build CNAME record: CNAME host: www.test.com points to: test.com This is for, when someone types on browser's address bar www.test.com , it is forwarded to test.com . I have no problem on understanding with this. The one that I do not understand is the following: For a mail server build, for domain test.com , I see that some domain admins also add CNAME records like: CNAME host: mail.test.com points to: test.com CNAME host: www.mail.test.com points to: test.com How they work? Why are they entered? Can you please help me with these enters? Thank you for your time!

On the tablet, I am logged in to my Google account on Chrome. When I make with my tablet with Google browser a Google search, at results, let's say I visit 5 result pages. After this visit, these 5 result pages, are colored purple. After this, I go to my pc (Windows 10). I log in to Google account, I go to properties, find there the search, click on it, and go to the same result pages. But there, on pc results, all result pages are colored blue. These 5 visited pages, are not colored purple. Is there any way to see them also purple? I have searched, but unfortunately did not find something. Thank you!

Thank you for the reply and information! I have read about SMTP mail servers (if I am right they are also called MTA). How about them? I do not know if there are local MTAs, web MTAs or both. Mail delivery/relay is made via MTAs. Where are they? They are somewhere on the internet? If someone has built a local mail server, from software side, local mail server has also a SMTP relay software? In this case, who makes mail message relays? My local SMTP s/w or a the web SMTP MTA? If only internet MTAs make transfer, so why build this local mail server? What should I win by that?

Please, I would like your help to the following problem I have since a couple of days now. It's about tablet and the application Gmail on tablet. On Google Drive there are .pdf and .docx files. Before problem, I was doing the following steps: -go to Google Drive -I selected a file to work on -choose "More" on the file (three dots) -from the list I choose Gmail (as an application) -Gmail application on tablet opened with a new mail message attaching this file -Entered recipient's mail address -Send and mail message was sent. Now, on above procedure, when go on "Send" button, message is not sent. It goes to outbox folder, and I manually have to go to outbox folder, make a refresh and then sending procedure starts. Strange is that sending mail is sent either to recipient's inbox or spam folder. To a specific recipient, from 10 tries, 8 went to spam folder and 2 on inbox. Also, the files I am sending are not that huge. Just 50KB - 150KB. On the other hand, when I go to Gmail application on tablet, create a new mail message, enter just text on subject and body e.g. test, and send it, message is sent with no problem. But why the above problem was not present before two days? Since it was not present, and since just a simple text message is sent, I think messages with files attached from Google Drive should also be sent. Can you please help me? p.s. Receiving works just fine. Thank you for your time!

Please, I would like your help on the issue I have with a brand new laptop. It's about ASUS E410MA-EK163TS. The problem I have is with number pad. When I press key to turn it on, it indeed turns on, I can use it as number pad (numbers, enter key it has on it, etc), but it does not illuminate. My first question, and basic, is if, on specific model, indeed, when number pad is enabled, it has to illuminate. I cannot find anywhere if specific model lights pad when enabled. If yes, what would be the problem that it does not illuminate? Laptop is brand new. Just about a week. Do I have to make a setting on windows or somewhere else in order to work? Is it a problematic laptop on number pad? Thank you for your time!

I guess you mean cable like that: So, the ethernet port on Ingenico iCT220 is not for making it work via internet. Please, have a look at small video here: My big wonder, as you will see on video, that it has not internet port. I mean, to connect it to a router port, and make it work via internet and not telephone line. But, if no internet working, why it has DHCP or manually IP setup on its menu? What is it for? Telephoning to company that sells iCT220 told me that it works with internet too. Not only with telephone line.

If that choice existed, then, I would change verification method from mobile number to e-mail address (ggg @ gmail . com), I would get the sending code to ggg @ gmail . com, insert it, and I would solve the problem. Yes, I have second e-mail I can access. But, if I get to that second e-maill a verification code, at the moment of Hotmail phone verification, will I have the choice to change it from phone code verification to mail code verification?

You describe it very nice. But I have make it all a mess because we always see on static given PCs as DNS1 the router's address. Usually the same as gateway. Also, it makes me make it a mess the fact that in one device comes all three : modem router switch I think they are all three different devices, we give gateway same as DNS, but I think, although most of the times gateway is same as DNS1, in true, it refers to different device!!!

Yes, what you are saying above is IP lease time. It's something I also though of seeing your first answer. That the address could not be stolen if router's recovery time is inside lease time period. Unfortunately, now talking, I am not in working place and I cannot see command prompt ipconfig output. I would like to proceed to question b. It's about POS ports. Two ports (if I have understood well) : 443 and it must be 6556. In order to clear this out, I would like to give POS product: INGENICO ICT220 But, it's not about specific product. I think that POS terminals have an internal logic port (like 6556). I will explain about 6556 second. First, let's clear out about port 443. Turning on INGENICO ICT220 as I saw in a video, it asks to confirm some by default given from manufavturer settings via green button (Enter): - One : is a public IP (it must be some server's IP) - Two : is port 443 And then proceed to communication test with "Enter". This network socket (WAN public IP + port) must be a POS system where transactions are carried. So, port 443, is the final server's port of the outside world. Have I understood it well? If I have understood it well, I think that in our firewall settings, either router's firewall or O/S' firewall, outbound 443 port should be open. So, IF outgoing 443 port is blocked, POS transaction cannot be completed. In that case, we should create an outbound open 443 port rule. Are all these correct or am I missing or say something on all these? 443 port is what I mention?

It's because I try to understand some things on POS terminals, but it's not only POS matters. Here, networking is taking full place (if we could give it such tag). So, I have also two questions. a. It's about the gateway. Without wanting to dispute you, I think this is something should be filled in. Here, the POS gateway address that should be filled in is the router's IP address. In our matter, 192.168.1.1 and I explain why. From the moment the transaction takes place, the transaction should be carried from the local network to the out world. So, this is something that is router's job. But, how POS will communicate with router? This is where gateway comes into game. Having filled POS' gateway address with router's IP address, this communication can take place. So, gateway, for transactions, is something that must be filled in. I give the following information that is now. Router IP:192.168.1.1 with subnet mask 255.255.255.0 There is only one pc in the network with 192.168.1.2 and subnet mask 255.255.255.0 Let's say, that in the POS terminal I give 192.168.1.3 with 255.255.0.0 My question is: On POS terminal, what of the following should I also fill in: Gateway ? DNS1 ? DNS2 ? All three? None of them? Some of them? Which? And if yes to some/all of them, with what ip address? Thank you for your time!

Good morning. I would like your help on the following... It's on a laptop Compaq CQ58. The problem is that, on Windows 10 that it is loading, it gets very slow from the user name to the desktop (first matter), and, when it arrives on desktop, after a couple of seconds, it blinks and reloads desktop, again blinks-desktop, blinks-desktop, etc etc. I cannot do anything on desktop. I can see desktop icons, but only mouse is moving. If I press Ctrl+Shift+Esc, it shows corresponding window, but cannot do anything from that windows. When laptop is completely off, when I press power on button, it tells me to do some pressings (Fx pressings) on a stable screen (no blinking), but on windows, it has specific blinking problem. When I connect laptop with a VGA cable on a screen, it blinks at the same time both laptop and external VGA screen the same way. Before I proceed with HDD, I have tried get with Acronis True Image on a Windows 8.1 the HDD on an image file. It does not complete backup at all. Backup time increases all time (I stop it when it shows 7 hours), with no bar increase. The same it does when I boot with an Acronis bootable cd. No backup. On the past, from when I have tried back up too many disks, it is the first disk I cannot backup. HDD is Seagate 9WS142-020. I have tried on different SATA gables and power output on the disk:same no backup. What is your opinion on all this problem? What could I do? Thank you for your time!
