yes it is. some VRM's are rated as much as 120c...most cheaper boards will trottle at around 85c...idealy you want the vrm's to be under 80c at all time.

What are you talking about? Pretty much any 150$ or higher B550/X570 mobo has this feature nowadays. Look at the B550 Tomahawk for example. Even budget boards like the B450 A-Pro or B450 Tomahawk use this feature.

I have not yet seen any announcement of new mobos or new series for Zen3. Pretty much any mobo that was produced in the last few weeks is going to have the needed BIOS though.

Your points make no sense. You're really trying, and I applaud you, but there are too many factors to consider to just say "AMD > Nvidia". It's just not true.

There are 4 different channels with hundreds of K of subscribers and not one of them uses a capture card?  Also what about all the other testimonies just google or check the ones I mentioned in this tab.

i know this guy he's been doing tech stuff for years and if the difference was as obvious as the OP describe it to be as it could be seen AFTER the horrendous youtube encoding algorithm then everyone would notice and it would be a well known fact but Brian is clear and he says to the end user using the same settings and same monitor there is no difference what so ever even in pixel 4K analysing in photoshop he couldnt tell any meaningful difference, case closed as far as i'm concerned:

The only way to truly prove this is from a 3rd party capture card. If these items are captured from the built-in encoders on each GPU, the comparison is immediately flawed as the encoders on each card are different.

Well I wouldn't expect it either but there's a failure rate as with any other product too, and that doesn't sound like it's working as it's supposed to at all. Could have maybe RMA the card or something (personally I wouldn't want to put up with defective product like that)

That may just be a solution tho not ideal of course, RMA seems preferable.

5700 it is then. I know its not as powerful as a 1080ti, but still much better than a 1060 3gb, and thats my current goal. to find a good upgrade within budget

If you can find a 1080ti for 300-350USD, that would be my choice.

i_build_nanosuits reacted to Fasauceome in Upgrade CPU or GPU?
B450 will get an update to accept 5000 series ryzen processors at the beginning of 2021, so I highly recommend a GPU upgrade first and later on you could update your motherboard to accept new Ryzen CPUs.
And you're looking at the 3080 or 6800 XT? That's rather excessive.

They are benchmark videos dude in order for them to be worth 2 cents they have to run on the same system....  To be honest I am not a follower on any of these channels I linked but they have traffic... its not that they are some 12yo first video attempt to compare graphics cards with his friend using different PCs or what not...

Looks to me that the AMD card also has better dynamic range, like it's running in 10-bit color mode internally, then compressing it down to normal color spaces very well.

Yes, you read that right. AMD lowest tier of graphics card announced at the recent event, costing only $579, beats Nvidia's top of the line RTX 3090 that costs at least $1499. Albeit, this is only in Battlefield V @ 1440p. However, this is just adds insult to Nvidia's injury, and it something I've never heard of happening ever before. (If you if any instance where that happened, please let me know). Source: https://www.amd.com/en/gaming/graphics-gaming-benchmarks

Edit: Small correction. this happens to also be the case for Forza Horizon 4.
