  1. Good luck finding something decent at reasonable price...this is depressing.

For the past few weeks i've been playing a game…

Its A LOT better than cyberpunk
  3. i remember my 4770K i would run at 4.2ghz on all threads with 1.19v on a Z87-G45 msi gaming board... a good starting point if you don't need all the performance would be to further lower the clock to say 3.5ghz and test with like 1.1v and test for stability, at this point the CPU should already be pulling much less power than stock settings, heck even my 4.2ghz OC was pulling about the same or less than stock. i believe if i'm not mistaken the default voltage on my cpu core with default settings would be around 1.28v in Hwinfo64..which obviously was way too much.
  4. @SquiddyButler personally, 2560x1440p high refresh (even 120hz would do fine for me) at 27'' is where it's at for a good desktop sitting pancake gaming experience. i would go with 3440x1440p high refresh ultra wide at this point tho, personally. 1080p was nice 7 years ago...and 4K is useless for a monitor this size. EDIT: something like this: https://www.bestbuy.com/site/viotek-gnv34dbe-34-uwqhd-curved-gaming-monitor-144hz-1440p-3-year-warranty-hdmi-displayport-black/6420872.p?acampID=0&cmp=RMX&intl=nosplash&irclickid=QInxkk3sZxyLU6V0MdV3iVCmUkEWkoR9sxGw100&irgwc=1&loc=PCPartPicker&mpid=79301&ref=198&refdomain=pcpartpicker.com&skuId=6420872 If over budget, something like that similar specs but 2560x1440 can be found easily around 300$ Click this link for options: https://pcpartpicker.com/products/monitor/#D=100000,360000&sort=price&r=256001440 This one is REALLY nice IMHO: https://pcpartpicker.com/product/DNH8TW/gigabyte-g27qc-270-2560x1440-165-hz-monitor-g27qc
  5. For the past few weeks i've been playing a game called Detroit: Become human...

It's amazing i have no words how to describe it but if you havn't played it yet, i strongly recommend you play it.

This is AAA at it's best everything about that game is of the upmost quality and the story is amazing and the graphics are gorgeous, the game has it all.

Also the game is easy to get for free if you know where to look...knaa'mean. So you can try it out before you get to buying it 😉

It's on my wishlist once I finish Cyberpunk. It's hard to find time though.

  6. Yeah the lady was asking 325 but I offered 280 and she accepted so NOW I'm doing my research lol...I'll go pick it up tomorrow.
  7. And it's a good phone? No issues with it? Can it still play games well and stuff? No hardware problems other than the sun burn? Thanks for your comment btw
  8. Hey guys...I don't know much about phones but I'm looking at buying a galaxy s9 that was bought new in January 2019...the phone is like new, no scratches or anything and come with a case charge etc and the price is 280$CAD is it a good deal? The phone is on Android 10. Let me know if you need more info. Just looking to be sure I'm not making a mistake. Thanks

RTX3080 still a no show? did you cancel the order?
  11. That depends on what game we're talking about...some games will perform absolutely fine with that CPU and some won't...
  12. Yes, download MSI afterburner and lower your power limit to say 94 or 96% and increase your core clock a little bit...test for stability...it's like overclocking, you want to get similar performance to what you have right now while reducing power consumption (heat) Also you can try to set a fan curve manually in afterburner...to get something you can live with better. Also case airflow and dust...make sure this is good.
  13. This is the highest end GTX 770, it's so old that nowadays you get similar cooling on lower end cards:
  14. yeah in 7 years it'll still perform like it does today, so games from the year 2021 or older will run SUPER great on it.
  15. wow, i see you've done a lot of research...posts like that are REALLY appreciated.
  16. Its possible that you can't feed the card more power...but that doesn't mean you can't increase your GPU and memory clock speeds and get more performance.
  17. You should test with a VR headset tho That said, you are right about pancake games, none of them require more than even 8GB at 4K to run well. Also pancake games should be rendered on a high refresh 1440p desktop monitor for best results anyways.
  18. i was wondering the same the other day and so i watched A TON of videos on youtube reviewing those two cards...you should do the same. my conclusion was RTX 3080 is better.

Oh I love this so much 🤣

That sucks sorry to hear that...update us once you get it Take care!
  20. wow Asrock boards this time around...LLC lvl 1 only too and already it's pushing it...dang. Could very likely just edit some stuff in the bios and make it run 4500mhz no problem tho i reckon...stock probably pulls way more than it needs.
  21. i would manually lower the voltages and test slowly until you find the sweet spot for the CPU... it's usually best to run 100mhz or 200mhz bellow the max clock your CPU could achieve but use much less voltages...that's what i,ve always done. For example my cpu COULD do 5.0ghz no problem but we're talking north of 1.32v and it gets quite hot for absolutely no worthy performance gains to speak of.
  22. with the next gen consoles just coming out...future mega next gen AAA titles havn't started to hit yet...hard to say. As for right now, for VR you want more for supersampling even my 1080ti is maxing out 11GB in a few instances and 3080 is almost twice the performance...so yeah i ain't planing on a 10GB for an upgrade personally...for 1440P games it's enough, but in 2 or 3 years it might come short in a few instances...no big deal. So i'd say: Great for 1440p, not quite engouh for future VR and not enough for future 4K but okay for now. (also VR ok for now in most instances, only high end sims with supersampling you hit max, but no stuttering yet just maybe some slight slowdowns here and there)
  23. agree 100% especially with the new headsets that have come out/will come out soon and GPU that are about to be readily available...lots of em will be flying off the shelves (sort of speak)
  24. how much voltage is your CPU stuff reading in hardware info 64? can we get a screenshot of under full load for about a minute...? Make sure your CPU cooler is properly mounted and tight and makes good contact with your CPU.
